Theme Day: Electricity

The first of the month has arrived, quickly but it's here and that means it's Theme Day here on City Daily Photo. This months theme is Electricity. This is one of the switch boxes for train signals close to my home.

Take some time to see some great work by some wonderful photographers from around the world. Click below:

Very cool. It looks like a character from tribe too.

Even the train switches are artistic in Santa Fe!

That switchbox is a work of art itself!

Haha! I almost did a double take Randy, I think this might be a first. A 'snap' situation for you and Kate!! It's still such an excellent way to hide an ugly electricity box!!
btw I hope all is going well with your course project, have you still got a long way to go?

I like that they paint the utility boxes. It takes a drab object & transforms it into art. Hope your week is going good, Randy. Sorry to hear you were stuck doing homework all weekend, but it will all pay off in the end. :)

Only in Santa Fe! This is cool...

Turning an object like that into a piece of art is a great idea and something we have come to expect in Santa Fe. Great find for the theme.

When you are rolling through on Amtrak, this leaves no doubt in your mind what city you are in.

I enjoy painted utility boxes in Auckland, and it's good to see them from elsewhere. Very nice, and deserving of a double posting (Kate).

So love that cities are starting to realize that art can be on most any surface, and enhance the environment. Fun shot.

That box is a great example of street art! Funny to see the same subject used by two different members. Cheers for that!
