Coming Along

Our new theater on the Railyard should hopefully be completed soon.
Soon I will be able to walk down the street to see a movie!

I shot this a few months ago while exploring our snowy Santa Fe River.

Be Happy

Sometimes we all get a little lost and could use a gentle reminder.
Even if it's written on the ground.

Provisions

Provisions is a new booth in the Farmer's Market building. Everything is either from France or has a French theme to it. Going back today to check it out again.

Landscape Design

I am not quite sure if the design has a meaning to it but I like it.
It sits between the Railyard and Sanbusco Shopping center.

Read All About It.

The Santa Fe Reporter is our local free indenpendent newspaper. Most of their boxes our downtown have some sort of graffiti on them. This is one of my favorites.

Sleeping It Off

Unfortunately when you have a liqour store not far from your gallery this might become a common sight. This guy seems to think this spot is his. This is not the first time and probably not the last time he can be found here.

Smile Graffiti

I found this on my way to the Farmer's Market this weekend.
I think it would make a nice business card.

Dreams in Flight

By Liz Wolf
This currently can be seen at a gallery on Canyon Road.

Just a little.

Our snow is long gone but I have a few more shots for you. It's the first day of Spring so I thought I would post something a little colorful.

Keep Going

It's almost Friday.
Walking next to the Santa Fe river.

Nose Diving Bee

This brave bee can be found right off Canyon Road.

Beyond the Trees

While walking along the other side of the river I caught sight of this beautiful home beyond the tree lining the river.

A little Blue

I didn't see it when I took the shot. Just one of those happy surprises.

Saturday Sculpture

The Meyer Gallery on Canyon Road has these marvelous sculptures of children perfect for any garden. This one happens to be one of my favorites.

Cold Reflection

The reflection is of the gallery next to this one. If you look close you can see the thin layer of snow that is lining the top of that building. Happy Friday everyone!

Time for some Travel

Taking this shot the day of our last snowfall has inspired a bit of travel for my birthday.
I am going back home to Arizona for a few days. I won't have a computer where I will be so I won't be visiting your blogs but I will have posts scheduled until I return on Sunday.
I do hope you will visit while I'm gone.

Pardon me, There's a Hare in my Snow!

Taken next to a sculpture garden at a Canyon Road gallery.
Our snow is long gone but still have quite a few photos to share.

This is How...

When I saw this all I could hear the father saying, "Son, this is how you make a snowball."

Winter on Canyon Road

It may have snowed that day but it never stops anyone from visiting.

Pig In a Blanket

Found this poor little pig at a gallery on Canyon Road.
I don't think that would be a very warm blanket.

Blue Gorilla in Snow

Blue Gorilla, a sculpture by artist Don Kennell is a new sculpture in our Railyard Park. It's a pretty large sculpture and hopefully you can get an idea based on the trees and light poles. You certainly can't miss him as you drive by and it really stands out with the snow.

Table for How Many?

I captured these while walking around the Railyard park. Needless to say I was pretty much the only one out there.

Ready to Play?

One of my favorite sculptures in town.

Adobe Window

Nothing completes an adobe wall like a window in my opinion. If your going to have a nice garden and you want people to see it, put in a window to share the beauty.

Finally!

The snow that was forecasted all week finally arrived Friday night and off and on Saturday. Yesterday was warm so it did not stay around long. By noon there were only traces of it around town. Luckily I spend most of the day walking around taking some shots. This is just the beginning.

March Theme Day: Aging

It's theme day here on City Daily Photo and this month's theme is Aging. Honestly this months theme caught me off guard. Luckily I live close to our train station where there are is an old Santa Fe Southern engine (pictured here) and a few old train cars.
