The Black Mesa mountain sits on the San Ildefonso Indian Pueblo. I just drove past there not to long ago and spotted the church in the foreground lit by the light of the sunset. Click on the photo for a better view. This is north of Santa Fe. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Rio Santa Cruz

Or River of the Holy Cross. This is the little river that flows behind the church at Chimayo and through the small valley. Most of the water comes from the snowfall in the nearby mountains. Thanks to everyone who visited this week, have a wonderful weekend.

Candles

There were candles everywhere near the church. These were next to the restrooms on some shelves that were on the outside of the building. I can only imagine how they all look lit up during the night.

El Santuario de Chimayo

This small church in Chimayo is the destination of hundreds of people during Holy Week. We visited the church today and were amazed by all of the people walking along the highway just to reach this church. I could not get this link that will tell you more about the pilgrimage to work but if you copy and paste it you should be able to read more about it.

Ram

This Ram sculpture was also on the grounds of the Gerald Peters gallery. I like the way he looked against the light Gray sky.

Cat Tracks

The statue sits right outside yesterdays gallery at the Gerald Peters art gallery. The statue is called "Tracks". I think it just should have been called "Cubs." Have a great weekend everyone.

A Drink and a Quick Read

Just in case your dog likes to read while he's taking a little drink he can always stop by Collective Works bookstore. I love stores who will let animals in or provide something for the while their humans shop.

Goose seeks Condo

Well that's my interpretation of this photo. This is an old downtown building that is being converted over to condos. There is a store on the ground level but this goose didn't make it into the stores Easter display.

Massage?

Estrellas Spa is a place near downtown that you can go to for a little pampering. A massage on a Monday morning sounds good.

Santa Fe Hemp

This is one of my favorite stores in downtown Santa Fe. Santa Fe Hemp sells clothing made from hemp as well as some other great stuff such as paper, all kinds of bumper sticker, soaps, and jewelry too.

Sunday in the Park

When the weather starts to warm up I imagine people will be making more use of these benches. Right now the weather is cold and people aren't in the parks so these benches sit empty for now.

This dog was just out relaxing while his owner was inside Starbucks. It was pretty cold outside so I imagine he would have loved to have been indoors too.

It started to snow again yesterday evening. By late evening we had quite a bit of snow.

Snowed In

It is a good thing there are no birds nesting in this house. They would have been snowed in for sure.

Black Tree with Snow

We woke up to surprise this morning. I am always in awe by the way the snow makes this tree near our home look so black. What can I say I am in awe that I live in such a beautiful city.
