Snowflake

There are still some decorations hanging around town. I caught this while running an errand in the downtown area.

Snowflakes are always lovely!
I like the sign too. ;-)

I see the odd decoration too... but the funny part for me was mis-reading the sign... my mind saw and read 'Pre-Historic,' not 'Pre-1937 Historic...' Lol...

Always a rather a sad and deflating time of year and the old decorations only add to the sombre mood. Good picture though.

You know what they say, when the snowflakes get big then the snowing is about to stop. :-)

Your shots of the snowflakes are delightful and a reminder of times past... This Route 66 sign is great!

I think that it would be nice if some of the decorations remained for just a wee bit longer!

I bet it's not the only snowflake on Route 66.

"Get your kicks on Route 66"!!

Your pic is a nice surprise this morning. My town of Yukon where I live in Oklahoma, is located along the 'Mother Road' which went from Chicago to Santa Monica.

Ahh, it's the time of year to take down the decorations. It seems to take some motivation to get them all down in a timely manner.

That's a cool photo, though. I love the "rust" colored sign against the blue sky. Good ol' Route 66.

Cool! Route 66 also runs through Okalahoma City, my hometown!

I like this a lot. We drove Route 66 several times between Arizona and the Midwest...but not pre-1937...more like late 50s!

I think they've forgotten all about that lonely snowflake Randy!

I am just reading Billy Connolly's book of his journey on Route 66. Would love to do that journey! Great shot.
