As we left Ghost Ranch we ran into this little fellow and a few of his friends walking along the road. I didn't have an apple so he just gave me that keep moving mister look. Next time I will come prepared.
This must be one of those "guard donkeys." Cute. Our youngest daughter is now raising mini-donkeys - or plans to. They are actually very sweet animals.
This one looks healthy and well fed. I heard a story on NPR recently that, with the economic downturn, many western farmers cn't feed their mules, so they are just opening up the gate and letting their mules out to fend for themselves.

Great pic, Randy!
It is always sad when you miss an occasion like this, but at least you took his picture.
Yes, he does look at you a bit dubiously!
How cute is the donkey! I like the white spot on his nose.
What a fun encounter!
How neat, Randy! Love the snow in the background. :)
There is just something so appealing about donkeys... he's a cutie!
This resembles my life much more than the majestic canyon shot. :D Just a mule, after all....
Cute guy!
Is this guy wild? I remember a trip out west when I was a child and there were some wild ones we took pictures of, can't remember where it was at tho.
Aww, what a cute, fuzzy guy.
lol how cute!
Yes, that would make a person feel bad for not having a treat to share. Healthy looking with it's fuzzy winter coat of hair!
There's either a little sway in his back or a little pot in his belly...maybe a little of both. Cutie.
Fun Find! and cute...
