I spent an early New Years Eve in the Taos Ski Valley. They had a Torchlight parade down one of the ski slopes followed by a fireworks show. This is the area where some of the ski shops and a few of the lodges are.
Taos is really amazing. We had the opportunity to drive there when we visited Santa Fe. On a whim, we decided we wanted to see the gorge and drove through a hail storm to get there. Quite the experience but glad we did it.
you are so lucky to have snow! still awaiting our first snowfall here... that's a lovely scene. wishing you all the best Randy, in this brand new year.

Love the lights at night shots! Sounds like a pretty way to spend the last night of an old year!
Happy new year to you Randy!!
Sounds fabulous Randy. Both David and Aimee have been skiing at Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains and loved it! Me, I'd break something for sure!!

This is a beautiful nighttime shot. Looks like a perfect place to spend New Year's Eve.
You have put in my mind a great image of that parade coming down a ski slope! What fun!
Very nice night shot here, too.
Have a great 2012 Randy!
So delicate and lovely! We have no snow. Santa Fe is looking pretty good to me...
Sounds like a fun way to start the new year! Pretty composition here too.
Wonderful snowflake and scene.
What a fun way to spend New Year's Eve!
Cool shot; cool flakes!
A wonderful Holiday scene. As you go down the street seems each snowflake has a different shape, just as in real life.
that's really pretty!
Looks like a great place Randy!
You must have had a fun evening! By an "early evening" you must mean that you behaved yourself!!
Lovely lights! Enjoy this new year!
What a nice place to visit!
I don't think I would be able to ski at all... ;-)

That sounds pretty spectacular; how beautiful to see torches and fireworks against the snow.
Beautiful night shot!
That is a lovely scene, Randy. Taos would have been a good place to take a break.
Such a nice scene. I think a lighted snowflake might be the only one we would see here in KY!
