Yesterday I spent the day at Ghost Ranch. The ranch was made famous by Georgia O'Keeffe who owned a home nearby. I love being there knowing that she walked around here and painted many of her famous landscapes all around. For more on the history of Ghost Ranch just click

Over the next week I will be sharing some more snow hike photos and more from our Ghost Ranch hike. Oh and yes I made it all the way to the top.

What an interesting outline Randy, great image and very well done for getting to the top! What a challenge, I would love to try it!
Can't wait to see your view from the top.
Wow! What an impressive sight and great photo. I shall look forward to more of your hiking photos. All the way to the top, heh? You must be in better shape than I am. Come to think of it, everybody's in better shape than I am!
Amazing rock formation!
You're in good shape Randy! ;-)
Looks a little like our Chimney Rock in Scottsbluff Nebraska -- hurray for you making it all the way up! :)
The is a wonderful shot Randy. Beautiful southwestern landscape.
That area is so beautiful. No wonder it's inspired so many artists. One of these days, I'd love to go there.
Thanks for this image and especially the link.

Oh would just love to go there Randy. Looks like fascinating country.
I have always wanted to visit there. Someday, I will. I can see why she was so inspired!
Fantastic landscape, can't wait for more.
I would love to hike where Georgia O'Keefe once walked, just to see if I could recognize any of the scenes that inspired her to put into paintings.
Way to go, on making it to the Top! Looks like we're in for an interesting group of photos!
Great shot of a very special place. You must stay in good shape with all of your hiking!
wow, I'm impressed, I've never made it to the top. but whenever I've been there it's been very very hot. Ghost Ranch is one of my most favorite spots on earth. I dream of one day being able to get inside her ranch house. maybe if I get on the board of the G.O. museum??? ha! I feel Georgia's presence when I hike there too. It's a very special place and I look forward to seeing more of your photos. this is exciting! happy Monday to you Randy.
That's Cool Randy!
Oh wonderful! I would love to visit this area some day. I can't wait to see more snow hiking pix. Have a wonderful day Randy! =)
Yup, now I'm jealous. Not a good feeling I know, but I can't help it.
Great view, amazing landscape! Glad to see some of the originals...
Fabulous! It looks sooo southwest!
Very nice! So different from where I live. What a welcome change. xo
A hike up there would be good for the legs and the lungs, as well as for the eyes and the soul.
Wow, qe suerte de paisajes que teneis, aqui nos tenemos que conformar con pequeñas montañas :)
Un abrazo enorme
Fantastic! Erosion is always a great artist.
The top of the butte or the top of the chimney? Either one looks difficult to me, unless there is a barely sloping trail somewhere that does not get anywhere near the edge--that'd have to be on the butte, of course! You're brave and adventurous and take superb photos!
Wow! That is quite a view... well done making it to the top!
Love to see snow in the desert. I'm anxious to see the rest of your photos. Ghost Ranch...hmmm...sounds interesting.
Excellent!
holy crap - you did?
Another beautiful scene!
Wow, you are adventurous! Great shot!
This is the photo.
superbe cheminée
How nice to see O'Keeffe's land! Good for you, Randy, that you climbed there!
Awesome. What a scenery. It's unbelievable that you live close to places like this.
