My Dream

This is a view of the Perdernal (made famous by Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings) as we were coming down off our Chimney Rock hike. After she passed away her ashes were spread on the top of the mountain. And here is the meaning of my title. If you look to the left you will see Abiquiu Lake. Then just to right of that lone branch in the middle of the shot is where I own 5 acres of land. My dream is that one day I will build a small vacation home on this land with large window that will face the Perdernal.

One another note I did play with "Picnik" after reading a few other blogs and tried darkening the edges a little. It's a fun little too and free right now since they are closing the site in April.

what a view that is, and keep striving for that dream! i am bummed about picnik closing but have noticed that google has the same tools that i use from picnik on their photo editor. hopefully google won't go and make it complicated!

And your dream will come true!

'Tis a beautiful scene. Is there a golf course nearby?

It would be really neat if you could have that window frame the mountain like a picture. I've seen that done in some of the houses in Sedona. What an awesome place to own land...hope your dream comes true!

Hi Randy, I've been lurking here for a few months enjoying New Mexico through your lens. I'm very much hoping to move there next September after an attempt to do so last fall didn't work out (but I did at least get to explore for a week!)

Love your dream of a vacation home! Have you ever seen the "Tiny House" blog? I find it really inspiring to see what people have built for themselves.

With the exceptions of a few functions, Picnik was always free... I'm going to miss it...

As for your heaven, will you throw a party once you've built your haven? :-) Gorgeous.
