This sculpture by artist Dave McGary is one of my current favorites on Canyon Road. I love the appearance of movement on her outfit and also the turquoise color. Have a great Saturday.
Wow! This sculpture is fantastic and it's one that I definitely will try to find when I get there! I cannot figure out if the entire think is sculpted (the fringe) or it actually has material as part of it.
Hi Randy, Thanks for visiting West Sacramento Photo of the Day. The rich architecture and artwork in Santa Fe calls to me so I am really enjoying your blog pix. Have you posted a photo from the Roundhouse of Earth Mother by Estella Loretto? I love her artwork. Ciao, Barbara
I stopped by here yesterday, but got called away from the computer before I could comment. She's so lovely and I, too, love the movement of this piece.

Nice, she resembles a native American woman?
I agree with you, it's gorgeous.
Great pose and unusual colors, you picked a very good favorite!

it is really neat - like you said, the flowing motion is impressive!
Great!
Have a fun weekend Randy :)
I agree! The sense of movement is very good. Looks like she may be dancing! Beautiful!
She is wearing my favorite color, I can see why she is one of your favorites. It must be nice to have such wonderful art available in Santa Fe.
I can see why this would be a favorite. It is beautiful.
She is so beautiful!
Like the colours too! ;-)
quelle grace dans le mouvement !
have a nice weekend Randy !
bisous
A most unusual sculpture indeed.
Gorgeous Randy!
Very nice, Randy. Just for the heck of it, try a horizontal crop coming in tighter on her face and upper body.
Yeah, the movement is great!
It makes me imagine that I can feel the wind.
What a wonderful sculpture! I absolutely love turquoise, first of all. And you really get a sense that her clothing is actually moving!
It's fantastic but I'm with Kate, is part of the outfit real?
This is a beauty! I think it would be a favorite of mine too!
At first glance I thought it was the Virgin Mary grooving to some music! I think it was the colour that made me think that. Very unusual - nice.
Indeed, I enjoy the apparent motion the sculpture gives. Wonderful framing to impart that feeling Randy.

She is gorgeous. The color and movement definitely is eye-catching.
A great sense of movement and the entire sculpture is just stunning.
The depicted movement is indeed something, not simple. How bg is that? Life-size or bigger?
So graceful.
Beautiful sculpture...the turquoise just sets it off perfectly.
