Artist at Work

This is one of the artist from Venezuela working on one of her baskets at the Folk Art Market. I admire her patience and the beauty of her work.

You know what Randy? It's a good thing that I can't go to your fairs, galleries, shows, studios... I'd be bankrupt! Beautiful baskets and she's pretty, too!

Looks like a beautiful woman too! I certainly wouldn't have the patience to take on weaving. :)

A beautiful lady doing beautiful work.

Baskets woven by the artists are really quite lovely and varied. My friend in Santa Fe has an exquisite collection of Native American baskets collected from many different states. They are often utilitarian, quite varied and unbelievable beautiful. This woman in your photo is a talented artist.

Randy hello!
I think your people shots are just great! It's nice to see things from the human perspective..
How are the fires out there?

Me too Randy, I love hand made things, they are always so much more interesting than mass produced.

She looks so happy! The first thing I would do is buy one of those baskets.

I wonder how much time she needs for a basket like this one...

That is very cool! I'd have bought one of those if I could afford it. I think that would be calming to work on something like that, something to get your mind off everything and you had to focus on it.

I think that sweet smile on her face must come from learning patience.

I do not have that much patience. Or anything that pink. I'm an Autumn. :-)
