This young man was playing a hand steel drum called a Handpan at the Farmer's Market.
The sound was like a steel drum but a little softer and very enjoyable. Unfortunately he could never get through a full song due to all the people asking questions about the drum. Hopefully he will show up again.

He needs to write down all that info on a paper and play on!
Looks as though it's a profitable little venture too.
Oh wow people interrupted him? I wish I could have heard it!
That steel drum produces a really good sound.

What a cool-looking instrument. I have never seen one before. I would love to hear it!
I have not seen one of those, very interesting as I like that sound. If he plays badly it would also be a good shield!
Nice capture Randy.
Never seen one of these. Unique look. It has the visual 'feel' of a steel drum.
how neat! i'd have to ask, too. :)
Well, that is interesting. I would love to hear him play.
A very interesting instrument...
Unique + it seems profitable!
I've never seen anything like this. I'd love to hear it in person.
Never heard of one before. It could double as an art piece when he's not playing.
Looks quite intriguing, Randy!
Truth be told, if I were there I'd probably ask him a few questions too. ;)
First time I've seen a "hand pan", I'll bet this fellow is pretty good with it judging by the donations he's gotten!
I would have had a ton of questions too. I've never seen one of these.
Love that sound!
Lots of great musicians at the marker, and it would be great if he played again!
Nice image of the young musician.
