This is my first experiment with HDR. The shot comes from a resale shop in Madrid. I find it a good reminder to live a richer life. Wishing you all a great Friday and a happy weekend.
I like those blocks! and your first attempt. I have a program/app for HDR. I want to try the original method by taking the three photos at different exposures but don't have a remote cable. Any little movement or blurring can make for a pic that is less than satisfying. The artist in me likes to play with the editing features. Don't get discouraged, I've had to play around with lots of photos to get the right results.
HDR brings out colors that are often unseen. Sometimes I wonder if they are really there? Or how does HDR compare to 20/20 vision? I don't know, just wondering.
I have a difficult enough time just trying to get a decent photo (composition, exposure, etc.) as it is without going on into another whole realm of effects. I'll leave HDR and special FX to others. Have fun.
This looks great! I love Madrid. We visited only briefly, hoping to find some dinner (which we did at The Holla) and didn't get to visit all the shops but it's going to be the first place I head the next time I'm in NM because that first glimpse of it made me very curious!
What is HDR? Can you tell me about it? And the photo? Is it yours or did you purchase it or make it somehow? I guess I am not understanding the process. Thanks Randy. Love the chair in the header!!

Great image and quote! Did you use Photomatix?
Thanks for this wonderful message, love your words!

I love HDR but don't have the patience to do it right: tripod, three exposures, etc. Instead I just use Topaz!
I don't know much of HDR and I am no big fan of effects, but this image is really great!
I'm dancing, I'm dancing! Have yourself a merry little weekend, too!
Love the photo! And a good job with the HDR!
I'm going to have to investigate this method to see what you have done since it's all a mystery to me. Have a great week-end Randy!
Totally agree :)
Nice one!
Nice work Randy, it's kind of fun having a bit of a play with images now and then. Looks good!
Reminds me of a song I love by Leann Womack... 'I Hope You Dance.' Love your shot and thoughts...
Nice job Randy!
Great way to start! Have a nice weekend as well Randy.
Randy, HDR certainly saturates every detail, I like it though!
I too am curious as to what program you used..

I would like to try the HDR but not sure I have the patience.
This shot is great though.
What excellent advice...I think I shall take it to heart. Have a great weekend yourself!

You're right, it's a very good reminder. :)
And it worked! Cool, Randy.

hdr works well with this image! i've not used hdr but have played with other effects on picnik! will miss them!
Have no idea what HDR is - will have to google it. I sometimes forget to dance - thanks for the reminder.
Nice colored one!
Nice, Randy. You'll be hooked now. Have a great weekend! (Yes it was the Native American Art Festival at the Wigwam.)
Cool. I love Madrid. Hippies still exist : )
I love how the colors turned out. And I like the quote in blocks.

Great HDR trial. Please do tell us what you used. I love this saying. Have a great long weekend.
Belle photo,bon week-end !!!
I try to dance a bit each day.
Wonderful quote! Intense colors!
I apply HDR on many of my bird shots, but then scale it down a bit as it can be overwhelming.
Great shot Randy!
I like this photo, when I was a child my father brings me this toy from NY.jjj
Good shot Randy.
Great choice for HDR. Love the photo Randy and wishing you a wonderful week.
You found a perfect image to work with for an HDR effect.
Sorry to say so, but I hate HDR.... so ugly! (don't take it personal)
