I love the "Abandoned" series that Lynette at
Portland Daily Photo has been featuring on her blog. I came across a photo in my archive that would fall under this category. I caught this while on my many walks up Canyon Road. I don't think the person missed it much because it sat out there for over a week.

Looks a little sad ! nice find and title !
Very good one! I like the idea, I'll think about it...
I wish i could say that is mine. So I could travel to your wonderful place! Great work man!
Love it!
I thi k sometimes you lose something like a hat or glove and you have no idea whee to look for it. I wonder what happens to all the lost things in the world.
Original, good point of view
This is good Randy. Thanks for sharing the link. Great idea.
Funny! It's interesting what one can find on a walk in the park. Or the mountains.
I liked your comment on Ocala: "Mash." It did look a bit like that set! More later today.
Oh, I'm thinking lost!
So that's where it is!!
Too bad, it looks like it is in great shape!
I've been checking in on Lynette's lost and found, or abandoned dept. also. Maybe this cap was just misplaced! Nice pic!
Great shot for this one Randy. Like the 'abandoned' idea.
oh yes that's great ! love your first shot !
I think that it says a great deal about the people who happen by that path. Placed carefully on the post and not taken by anyone else...

I like the idea of this post. Maybe my eye will start looking for something that I can post.
so sad...
Nice shot. Simple and clean
Interesting what people leave behind inadvertantly or on purpose... sometimes you just scratch your head or think 'Hey it's my lucky day!'
I think I will love Lynette's 'Abandoned' idea too. Have to check it out.
Nice find!
smart
Good shot
I wonder if the owner ever did find it again.
very patriotic tree stump...I would have like 1000 pictures I could categorize as "abandoned". Well, maybe I'm over-exaggerating--but close!
They were probably looking for it the next week.
A week? Put one out in Connecticut and it would be gone by daybreak.
Cool idea. A hatless patriot is walking around somewhere.
oh that's neat...what a fun idea for a photo series....makes me think of a glove that is attached to a guard rail just down the road!
Unless of course the person was only passing... I lost my favourite cap in no man's land on the Snake River...
Finders keepers? It looks good there.
Boy, if that isn't a metaphor for the state of the US, I don't know what is. Great shot, Randy. :)
Maybe it was left intentionally as a patriotic act.
Ahhh, he was probably a visitor that was just passing thru & forgot it!
Good shot, Randy. Fits the theme very well.
That's a clever idea. I always wonder about the back story when I see random objects left behind like this hat.
Fabulous find, Randy! Sometimes it is fun to go through those photo archives, isn't it? Thanks for all your visits and comments--you're a swell guy!
