Just another reflection that I captured recently in the window of the Due West Gallery on San Francisco street. The painting was what caught my eye first.
** My class project is taking a little more of my time than I had planned. I will try to stop by your blogs tomorrow if I can. Have a great day.
This is how I feel like and Monday has just arrived. Too much homework this weekend kept me glued to my computer. I found this downtown and unfortunately not too sure what it's for. Make it a great week!
Ok I am starting to forget to post, that's not good. Too much other work I guess. I caught this reflection on the window of the Rio Bravo Trading Company. If you ever want to feel like your in the Old West this is the place to go. They have the best collection of western antiques. It feel like your stepping back in time just browsing around here.
I caught the reflections in these small windows at the old Santa Fe Railroad station. I really liked the trim color on the windows. Have a great Friday and a super weekend.
This is part of the Santa Fe Community campus. Here is a description from their website: "The School of Trades and Technology offers students an arena in which they can use organizational and designing skills to analyze and creatively develop solutions to our needs for clean water, moderate temperatures and livable buildings." I love walking around this part of the campus just to see whats going on.
While out shopping over the weekend I caught sight of this really cool pillow. I think it would look great on a leather couch. The week is half over. I hope it's going well for everyone.
I have class tonight so if I don't stop by tonight I will catch up with you tomorrow.
Well I don't but this place was marketing to those who just can't have more than one handbag. I was drawn in by all of the colors. I hope your week is off to a good start!
“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh," he whispered. "Yes, Piglet?" "Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw, "I just wanted to be sure of you."”
This is my first experiment with HDR. The shot comes from a resale shop in Madrid. I find it a good reminder to live a richer life. Wishing you all a great Friday and a happy weekend.
One the artistic talents that wish I had some time to learn is wood carving. There are many New Mexico artists that are wood carvers. Sometimes you come across entire families of artist and it is interesting to hear about the past generations of carvers. I am not sure of the history of this door but it sure is one I would love to have in my home.
I love the "Abandoned" series that Lynette at Portland Daily Photo has been featuring on her blog. I came across a photo in my archive that would fall under this category. I caught this while on my many walks up Canyon Road. I don't think the person missed it much because it sat out there for over a week.
Well it's Valentine's Day once again. Our historic Lensic theater is showing a few old romance movies. Last night you were able to see The Princess Bride and tonight they will be showing The Way We Were. This is how I am spending my Valentine's Day evening. Wishing you a happy Valentine's Day filled with Chocolate!
I almost forgot about this shot that I took some time ago. I was walking past this truck and admiring it when I noticed that it was one that was once used for Army purposes. I like finding stuff like this. Wishing you all a great week.
Last weekend I had to stop by and listen to these guys playing on the plaza. They belting out an awesome rendition of the Cure's Love Song. I just might go by there again today to see if they are out playing. Happy Saturday everyone!
If you looking for some great Native American jewelry, rugs, pottery and more then you will love the Shiprock Gallery right off the plaza. I was admiring the poster when I noticed two nice reflections. Click on the link if your in the mood to see some interesting pieces. Wishing you a weekend full of fun!
The other day I was downtown when I came across this woman in this great looking coat. I was drawn to it by the colors and the Native American influence in the design.
I caught this downtown over the weekend. I was drawn by the bare Aspens.
Quick note: I started a new class a few weeks ago on Wednesday nights. I get home a little late and I might not be able to visit your blogs. I will do my best but please excuse my absence if I don't show up. Have a great day!
I was at Starbucks the other day and caught this shot. Does the Starbucks in your city have these mugs? Whether your a coffee drinker to a tea drinker I hope your week starts off good.
The snow came in while I was sleeping and this is what it looked like on my Friday morning commute. It was touch and go with the icy roads in fact I almost hit another car when trying to make my turn into work. Guess I need a little more practice driving on ice.
This old wall on Delgado Street is one of the most photographed walls in our city. You can find it on cards and postcard and probably some galleries but always in color. We had some snow in the morning so I took a quick trip after work.
Ok the light is green but I was really sitting at a red light and just as I snapped the photo the light turned green. Good thing there was no one behind me. Have you ever been honked at while snapping a photo?
The first of the month is upon us once again and it's Theme Day here on City Daily Photo. This months theme is Animals. Classes are back on at the college and I had to run out to the campus on Saturday. When I came out this little guy was waiting patiently for his owner in their vehicle. As I drove away I turned back and he hadn't moved an inch. Dogs are such wonderful friends.
