I was digging through my archive and found that I completely forgot about a day trip that I look to Las Vegas, which is only an hour east of Santa Fe. They have some wonderful historic buildings there. I usually go there to visit a great little bookstore they have there. I'll be sharing a few shots from this day trip in the next several day. I hope you will enjoy them. Happy Saturday.

I also like bookstores and I love the sign, great shot!
Happy Weekend,
Léia
Funnily enough, I did not associate Las Vegas with this cool sight!
Nice old rusty neon
Have a great weekend Randy :)
I had no idea there was a Las Vegas, New Mexico! Now I need to check out what Vegas means in Spanish. :))
I love old signs like this.
I discovered Las Vegas one time when I stopped for something to eat. Ended up staying several hours. Look forward to your pictures.
Great photo! A side of Las Vegas you don't see as often. I like the historical aspect...
Now you've got me wondering if that cafe is still in business, especially considering the condition of the sign. Yes, please show more shots of Las Vegas.
I too find the Historic bldgs. in Las Vegas interesting. This series will be fun!
interesting old sign. reminds me of brass knuckles. then i read it was in vegas. hmmm... :)
Oh good, a day trip. I love it.
Day trips in NM are the best! The little book stores are worth the trip.
What a great old sign! I will enjoy seeing the sights of Las Vegas, NM. I like it much better than the other Las Vegas.
I saw on last nights news that the "diving lady" sign at that Mesa motel was repaired and put back up after being damaged in a storm over a year ago. I always loved that old sign. Do you remember it?
Love this sign. Is the cafe still open for business?
I like the vintage sign and the building behind it.
Yes fantastic old sign -- for some reason surprised to know Vegas is one hour east!
Love that old sign. Not the usual image of Las Vegas that we see!
That's a cool view. I've never been to Las Vegas, New Mexico, so I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your "photo tour."
Sweet vintage sign - a wonderful find! Amazing how close you are to Las Vegas:)
I'd drive a hour to peruse some books too.
Fine sign. Love that blue sky! And the colors on that building on the right of the sign--wow. Thanks for finding these to share with us, Randy.
I should imagine there would be some intriguing sights in Las Vegas Randy, looking forward to seeing some of them.
