Needless to say the wind at the top was pretty strong and really really cold. This poor tree was taking a beating from the wind and the snow that flew up on it. As you can see it was pretty wind blown and frozen.
I think I'd have enjoyed the cold, crisp, clean air a lot. Where I am it smells of car exhausts because we've had cloudy skies and no wind for soooooo long. Gorgeous shot!

I thought it was a tree with beautiful white flowers! Poor thing! And no place to hide from the snow and the wind!
Great photo, Randy!
It must be quite frozen to cling to the branches in strong wind!
Will it survive the weight if the freezing weather continues?
Love it when the snow clings to the trees. Beautiful photo.
Yes it was Randy and look how blue the sky is there. Love those really chilly, clear days.
At first I thought it was just frost. Snow and wind is pretty harsh on trees. Good shot though.
i've loved everything you've shown from 'the top'. :)
I think this is the most amazing tree with snow I've seen. Fantastic!
Mother Nature is certainly a great decorator!
It does seem to have an extra lot of sugar coating.
An incredible natural sculpture!
Poor tree, but an amazing photo!
Wonderfully snow flocked!
A great series "AT the Top"!
I can't imagine how cold it must've been! The tree looks laden with crystals, very lovely.
Looks like it is in flower, so beautiful.

It is pretty!
That snow looks heavy. The tree must have had to survive many past snowstorms in order to be tough enough to handle all of that snow.
wow this is so beautiful, it reminds me flowers!Wonderful image!
