Hotel Chimayo

Hotel Chimayo is all decked out for the holidays. Located in the downtown area and within walking distance to the plaza. It's a great place to stay when visiting our city.

I am posting a link to their website because they are having a sweepstakes for a two night stay. Who knows, you next trip could be to Santa Fe.

Being in walking distance to the Plaza is a big plus when visiting Santa Fe.

The large chili ristras hanging from the porch gives this grand hotel a New Mexico signature.

Lovely photo with the dusting of snow.
Since yesterday's post, I'm off on a search for Mexican Hot Chocolate and now I'll be entering the hotel's contest. Coming to your blog is like Christmas! :)

Are those dried chilis I see? Looks like an interesting hotel. I tried to find out if Chimayo was a Spanish word but was unsuccessful. Maybe it has a local or slang meaning?

O que esta pendurado na frente do hotel?

I thought of hanging chili too, but is it? Whatever it is, it's pretty cool.

Now how have I missed this little treasure. Can't recall seeing it. Will have to find it since your post has intrigued me about it. Very nice festive shot. PS. Bought a new camera today; I am very excited and very poor.
