On the Mountain

Yesterday we took a drive to take in some of the beauty of the Winter. You can't help but notice this rock when driving down the mountain but this time I couldn't help but notice how it stood out because the snow melted from the warmth of the rock.

Some of you asked about the Mexican chocolate that I post last week. Take a look at this wonderful blog for a great post.

Snow seems to be everywhere, but the rock knows how to protect itself! Followed your link and had an interesting time surfing those blogs.

A very noticeable rock indeed! Well captured.

Thanks for the Mexican Hot Chocolate link. All the grocery stores will wonder about the large volume increase in sales of this product!

as long as it stays perched up there and doesn't tumble down on you!

It almost looks like someone just set it there on top of the snow.

Oh, and thanks . . . I'm going to be thinking about Mexican hot chocolate and churros all day, now. ;)

Well seen Randy :)

It gets just that much more sun to warm away the snow. Good eye, Randy. I'm off to check out the chocolate link. :) Have a great week.

It's funny how that happens - I've noticed it around tree trunks too. Nice one!

It looks like it's about to roll down!

Now that chocolate does sound delicious but I had to a) smile that the brand is Swiss and b) therefore wonder why we don't have it here!!!!

You came across a special and peaceful spot, Randy.

I still find it somewhat perverse that you, who are so much nearer the equator, still get snow so early. You must be high up.

That's interesting...looks like the rock got a little more sun than things around it. Maybe that's what I need - a little more sun. I think I'll start playing golf more often!

I've stopped near here a few times to photograph fall colors. I haven't been up the ski hill road since the last snow- much more up there than down here...
