And It Came Down

Before I left for my class the snowflakes were small and not really a threat on the roads. This was the scene on Old Pecos Trail three hours later on my way home. It made me long for some Mexican hot chocolate so I headed straight home.

It does look a bit 'fresh' Randy, what makes Mexican hot chocolate so good? Does it have chilli in it?

No, this is impossible! Snow already in Santa Fe? The street looks fabulous with the white snow, lovely!

Lovely picture. Snow is always beautiful seen from afar or in a photo, but quite dangerous when it comes where we are not used to it.

It's beginning to look like a winter wonderland.

Perhaps someday you will share with us something about all these classes you take?

Again... all we have is drippy rain! Your views are wonderful, Randy!

This is about how it looks outside this morning here. Maybe a hot cocoa is just what I need this morning!

That's a really nice photo. Just sort of ... peaceful. Love it!

It's so cool to see snow, sometimes I feel a bit envious because we don't have it here, but I hate winter, so I'm glad enough to see your snowy shots. ;-)

To head straight home was probably the smartest thing you could do! I've experienced enough snow (having lived in Minnesota) for a lifetime, but I must admit this is a beautiful scene. Pristine!

Wow Randy... I heard on the news this morning that snow is blanketing the southwest... lovely but dangerous for drivers. Keep safe.

Nice day to get the fireplace going and burn a little pinyon wood, while having warm drinks of choice!

The snow and adobe really makes for a fine pic!

I'm sort of jealous. Too mild here...

I'd say! I'd love to have snow now, perfect for the holidays! But I know, it's probably not great to live in it all the time (so I've heard :)

I'm going to assume that Mexican Hot Chocolate has some spice to it...a little heat. Looks like the perfect day for it.

Gorgeous photo, Randy. You know, I was at work all day on monday & it didn't seem to be snowing that hard, though the roads were quite icy in the evening & i heard it was below zero last night. This morning was gorgeous, but missed the photo op as I was on my way to work. Supposed to have icy fog in the morning, so i hope to get out & about w/ the camera. Hope your speaking gig went well, what class was that for & what did you speak on?

PS-current fave hot choc- spicy aztec hot choc from lake champlain, found at whole foods. make w/ real milk & top w/ whipped cream- yum-o! i am totally hooked. found it the chocolate section. I'm sure you could spice it up w/ a little liquor if you so prefer.

Wow, look at all that snow! I hope you enjoyed your Mexican hot chocolate!

Can't wait to show this to Jim since he feels already sick of MN snow...so what are we doing...going to SF for the winter??!! No brainer...we love it (and the people) there!
Taking a break from addressing Christmas cards and guess some hot cocoa (MN version) is in order after reading your post. Yes, I still send holiday cards; it wouldn't be Christmas without them!!
