I love a surprise don't you? At first sight I wasn't too thrilled with this shot until I saw the reflection of the sky and trees in the sculpture. This was taken during the Canyon Road Paint Out. So happy that I have a three day weekend starting today. I hope you all have a great Friday!

A lie-in this morning was VERY much appreciated here but the blue sky the weatherman forecasted for this holiday is probably somewhere else, lol! The sculpture is quite striking in itself and the reflection makes it even better!
Sky color matching this lady's jacket which adds a lot to the picture.
That is SO COOL!!
That's a fantastic catch Randy. Aren't those unexpected captures the best?! Hope you enjoy your long weekend.
That is absolutely wonderful, Randy. Serendipity makes the best photos. I've something similar on our Images blog today.
Hope you're enjoying a day off!
Re your comment about fried food: You mean I can't eat fried food anymore? What a bummer. I thought about that and decided I'd quit in a couple of years. :-)
I saw it jump out right a way.
I'm sure the reflections are a part of the artists vision of the sculpture. You captured it nicely!
all of your pics want to make me go back to Santa Fe, I take comfort in the fact that I'm in a reasonable driving distance ;)
You always seem to be in the right place at the right time for your captures! cool pic!
very cool! you catch some great stuff!
It's fun to find things in a photo you didn't see at first.
Serendipitous!! Gotta love it.
isn't it fun to discover something really cool about a photograph that you initially didn't realize was there? this is perfect! happy weekend to you Randy.
Well done, Randy, it's fantastic!
yes, beautiful shot ! wish you a nice weekend Randy
Great photo! It is very true that reflections are the most interesting subject.
I love finding reflections in surprising places. Have a nice 3 day weekend! =)
This sculpture looks really nice, I'd like to see it in person.
And you got some clever reflections there!
God bless you!

Super reflection! I also like seeing all the people wandering in the background.
You are right, I didn't get it at first, but the effect is very good.
