Just the Beginning

I captured this mostly for the light and the colors on the palette. If you could paint like any artist whose art work would yours resemble? I would like to paint like Amedeo Modigliani.

The palette of paints is a painting unto itself.

Jackson Pollock!

This gives new meaning to the phrase, "a blank canvas." Well, almost blank. Did you stick around to see what developed?

Now there is a tough question. I think I'd like to paint like Monet. The light in this photo is quite beautiful.

I've seen pieces of modern art that this would be entitled "finished".

Nice capture of color and light along with the mystery canvas.

Hard question because my favorite changes so much. At this moment it would have to be Robert Duncan from Utah.

I don't think I know enough about art to choose an artist. But I always loved Peanuts so maybe I would be a cartoonist!

Andrew Wyeth. hands down.

This is really nice Randy. Great shot.

Great question, Randy. I guess I would choose Mary Cassatt since most of her subjects were mothers and children and that is my life right now...

Lol about early advertising. Walmart also has been displaying Christmas trees since October! I could see them as I was picking out Halloween candy!

I'm pretty sure I would be a Monet girl...you know flowers and all. :)

Everything is still possible!
Not an easy question: I would probably be influenced by more than one...

My answer would probably depend on the day and my mood.

Thank for being a fan of our Livornese artist. Without disturbing Old Masters, I'd really like to paint like Andrew Wyeth.

thanks for sharing.

I don't know too many artists except the biggies--even if I could paint like Thomas Kinkade, it would be a miracle! Incorporating light into a painting can be tough, if not tougher than a photographer trying to capture the right for his final picture.

I would be someone hard-edge like Mondrian?

oh, what a loaded question. Gauguin, Matisse, there are so many! O'Keeffe. your choice is superb too. if I could paint anything at all, besides my walls, I'd be happy. great shot too, with the light. a happy day to you Randy.

Yes, Modigliani is good. But I'd probably go for Michelangelo Buonarroti. Or maybe Watteau. Unless I choose Georges de la Tour. Oh I dunno. So many...

One has to begin somewhere...I guess I would have to start as a Kindergarten-er;)

I enjoyed catching up with your recent posts. I love the sky reflection and the chalk, loved the chalk. You also bring so much color into our daily lives.

Um - Robert Duncan of course.
