Garden Art


At La Mesa of Santa Fe on Canyon Road you can find these marvelous ceramic sculptures by Minnesota artist Russ Vogt. He is a painter as well as a sculptor. Click on the links for La Mesa or Mr. Vogts' website.

I could have lived with one of these in my garden when I lived in Phoenix. Now that's I'm on a farm they're maybe a little over the top for the local culture.

I thought they looked a little like skinny totem poles, but that just shows how little I know. And I would have guessed they were made out of wood, so my batting average is not good today.

But they are colorful and do brighten up the area ...
