Covered

This is one of my favorite views as you drive down from the Sangre De Cristo mountains. All the yellow leaves are gone and part of the mountain had snow on it this weekend. I miss the colorful Aspens already.

That is a dramatic sky and the yellow looks like a blanket. I would probably run off the road from staring at something like this!

This is a lovely view, Randy. I do so enjoy the fall foliage, and we've still got some of it here in Portland. Lots and lots of leaves on the streets and sidewalks, too. Amazing the number of leaves in trees. Enjoyed your recent leaf/leaves posts, too.

I would be drooling at so much color. Beautiful. I love the name of the mountain range also.

AHHHHH! We took the high road to Taos when we were there in 2003....what a beautiful drive in those mountains, I think that's what made me bound for the southwest.

I love this pic!

That is a spectacular view! Not only are the aspens covering the mountain side, one can almost hear the rustle of their quaking leaves.

Hmmmm. Sigh... :-)

Sangre de Cristo... So evocative. Do you know the Paul Simon song, I forget the title (it's late and I've had some wine for dinner!: the blood of Christ mountains of New Mexico... On the last leg of the journey that started a long time ago... you take two bodies and you twirl them into one... That's more or less the lyrics! At least, part of them.

I was going to say that this had to be from a month or so ago 'cause the aspens are saying "leaf me alone!"

Beautiful shot, Randy!
