A second stop at the vintage shop in Dixon to make a purchase and I discovered another room. I love the view out of this window and and the old light from a car. Oh and in case your curious I bought and old wire basket.

I took a stroll down one of my favorite roads in Dixon and I found that they Tee Pee that I shared with you last year was still there.

Golden Floor

Outside of a ceramic artist house I walked on this golden carpet of leaves. This artist lives in the middle of an orchard.Don't you just love the colors of Autumn.

It's Safe Out Here

I found the most amazing studio hidden back behind an orchard and vineyard. These items were found close to the entrance of the house/studio.

Time In Dixon

Last weekend was my second favorite art studio tour in Dixon. Dixon is a small town about 40 minutes north of Santa Fe. This was outside of a small shop that deals in antiques.

Lunchtime

I'm Back, thanks to the repairman who came out twice and work until 8 pm to get me back up and running again. The other day I was walking through the plaza when I caught sight of this duo. He played the accordian and she jingled her little gypsy belt every now and then. Everything came to a halt when she got hungry.

Theme Day: Heights

Theme day is hear once again and this months theme is "Heights." These towers are part of the St.Francis Auditorium which is next door and part of the New Mexico Museum of Art.

Canyon Road Paint Out X

This is the last of the artist shots from the Paint Out. The artist in yellow stood out as much as some of the painters.

My Lightroom presentation went really well thank you to those who asked. I was impressed by all of the photograph slideshows that my classmates presented. If you have Adobe Lightroom classes available in your city I would say go for it. It's easy and a fun program to learn.

Now this is one artist tool I wish I could create with. Painting with oils and acrylics is great but I love the rich tones that you can create with Oil Pastels.

Here is another painter that I caught near a sculpture garden. He was painting one of the near buildings nearby. ** It's that time of the semester again. I am taking a short Adobe Lightroom class and finals are next Monday. I may be a little scarce in my visits while I try to prepare my slideshow final.

Over 100 artist participated in the 6th Annual Canyon Road Paint Out. There were painters, sculptors and even jewelry artist. There was plenty to see, hear and eat. Have a great start to your week.

Me and My Shadow

Yesterday was the big Canyon Road Paint Out. It is one of my favorite days of the year. Artists are outside of the galleries plein air painting and there is music provided by the kids of the Santa Fe School District at every stop. I caught this shot outside of a gallery. The title came to me as soon as I saw the flowers shadow. This week I will be bringing you photos from the event so stayed tuned.

This was the north facing view the other day as I was standing on the corner of Grant and Palace Avenue.

The other day while walking through town I happened to look up and see this young man. There are a few restaurants in this building so he must have been taking a break.

There I am.

Here I am in the same spot as yesterdays shot. As you the Fall colors really bring a pop of color to the area. So which do you like best, Summer or Fall?

Where Am I.

This is the Chama River. This view of the river can be found just north of Abiquiu. This is where you will find me today. I will touring artist studios and taking shots of the area. This shot was taken over the summer and I am hoping to catch it today with some Fall colors.

Colorful Sculpture

This beautiful sculpture sits at the entrance of Canyon Road in front of the Pippin Contemporary Gallery. It would make a great addition to someones garden, don't you think? This weekend is the Abiquiu Studio Tour, one of my favorites. I hope your Friday is a great one.

As I was walking towards The Windy River Trading Company I caught sight of a fellow photographer who was looking for some good shots.

Now that all of our festivals and craft shows have passed the plaza has been pretty slow. Every now and then a bus load of tourist will come by. This foursome were also just passing through. Get a load of that top hat. Have a great start to your week.

Lonely Shadow

Rural New Mexico

Every year while drive along the Taos High Road Studio Tour we pass this area. I always love this spot because it's usually where I can find some Fall colors. The shrub with a little touch of yellow in the foreground is called Chamisa in these parts (it's also known as Rabbitbush) and at this time of year it makes allergy suffers cringe.

Theme Day has come again to City Daily Photo and this months theme is "Details." They can be found in everything you see. I was lucky enough to capture the details in this young mans ring and cuff bracelet while he was shopping the Native American vendors near the plaza.
