This was last Sunday on the plaza before church ended at St. Francis Basilica. We were out having breakfast trying to beat the church crowd. Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday doing whatever it is that you love.

Up on the Sangre De Cristos the air is pure, the snow is white, cold and the silence is peaceful. It makes for a wonderful hike.

Back to the Hill

This is the view facing east off of Museum Hill. I had to run back before the new snow was gone from the hill. What can I say I love the views.

Seat Cushions?

After an evening of snow we woke up to some new seat cushions on our patio chairs. In total we got about 7 inches of snow. It was amazing how the morning light caused a blue tint on the snow.

Wet Snow

As we left the Flying Star the snow really started to fall. As you can tell the Railyard was pretty empty. It felt like we were the only two walking around.

In the Warmth

Yesterday while sitting inside the Flying Star having breakfast the sky started to turn white and the snow began to fall. By the time we left it was really coming down. But that's for tomorrow's photo.

I love this view of the Jemez mountains from Museum Hill. Actually there are quite a few nice views from the hill. Have a peaceful Sunday.

Kiva Priest

This sculpture by Robert Dale Tsosie sits right outside the sculpture garden on Museum Hill. It reminded me of Georgia O'Keeffe's painting Black Cross New Mexico. This would be great in a nice big Spring garden.

It's Time to Relax

I came across this couple relaxing after visiting the museum. I wonder if she was trying to blend in with the snow. It's Friday and time to relax, have a great weekend everyone!

Museum Visit

We spent Valentines day on Museum Hill, mostly for the Harry Fonseca opening. His paintings are so beautiful and breath taking. For the opening they have Valentines day sweets for your tasting pleasure. My favorite was the Chocolate cake!

The Flying Star Cafe

Can I interest you in a big Blueberry pancake, or maybe a Black Bean burger for lunch. The Flying Star is the place. This is another of the restaurants in the Railyard District.

Ready for Spring

Acutally I think this tree looks good bare with it's adobe backdrop but I am sure it is ready for the Spring to come so it can bloom again.

Patches

We were supposed to get more snow today and yesterday but the sun decided to shine down on us instead. There are still some big patches of snow around town like this one on the side of the building where I work. Have a great weekend everyone!

Inn of the Anasazi

One of our luxury hotels in the heart of the city. Your always greated by cowboys at the door. Its nice to sit on the patio right off the bar and watch people walk by.

Evening Blue

Shortly after the snow fall ended on Sunday evening the sky took on this beautiful blue color to it. Evenings are prettier after a snowfall, at least I think so.

Welcome to Snowy Santa Fe.

This post goes out to Kate from Visual St Paul who is here visiting our beautiful city. The day started out cool and by the time I got home from seeing a movie the snow started to fall. It may continue through tomorrow, we'll see. Have a good week everyone!

Sunday Afternoon in Santa Fe

I shot this photo about a month ago. A similar version of it ran in today's New York Times travel section. Their version had someone standing under the water tower with the Railrunner passing by. I tried to link the story but it just wouldn't work. Sorry.

Country Road 84

This is a view of county road 84. This is the same road that the horse from yesterdays post lives on. It's particularly beautiful in the spring.

Got Apples?

How would you like this guy as your neighbor? He could be mine, if we make an offer on a house that we looked at recently. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'll keep you posted if he becomes my neighbor.

Sleeping Underground

Under this patch of white there is a little prairie dog community that is hibernating waiting for the Spring to come. In the Spring and Summer you can see this little guys running, playing and eating the local shrubbery.

On a Hill

This is a view of some of the homes that I see every morning from the parking lot of my place of employment. I like the way some of the homes are built on small hills around here.

Ambulance Driver

Click on this one for a good view. What are the chances of seeing a driver like this in the drivers seat of a pet ambulance?

Theme Day: Wood

The first of the month seems to come faster lately and this one caught me off guard. It's Theme Day here on City Daily Photo and this months theme is Wood. Luckily for me I was up near the ski basin yesterday and I caught this Snowboarder flying up to the top of this wooden picnic bench and sliding off.

Please take some time to check out this months theme all over the world by clicking below.
