Most Photographed Door

This has to be one of the most photographed entry in Santa Fe. The home sits on the corner of Canyon Road and Delgado Street. You can walk by and always see both amature and professional photographers snapping away. When all of the flower in the planter are in bloom it is amazing.

Canyon Road Garden

This is one of my favorite gardens on Canyon Road. I love the planter here behind this bench too.

Bench and Flowers.

I love Coneflowers and this bunch complimented the color of the bench perfectly.

White on White

Friday evening I decide to stroll Canyon Road and attend a few gallery openings.
The clouds in the sky were amazing and so were the Hollyhocks.

Evening Sky

This was taken with my iPhone. I take 3-5 mile walks in the evening and I could not resist pausing to look at this amazing evening sky. Probably a preview of this weeks evenings to come. There are storms forecasted everyday this week.

Adobe Garden

I have a favorite place that I like to have lunch on the weekends that has the best fresh processed juices. I normally park in the front of the building but yesterday I had to part behind the building and this is what I saw.

Serious Riders

I don't know that I would want to sit on a black seat after it's been sitting in the sun.

Little Red Bench

Found in Taos.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Color Parking

I would love to have a scooter but this is not a safe city for bicycles much less a scooter.
We are in need of more lanes that make it safer for people who prefer alternative transportation.
I found this scooter out side of Warehouse 21.

Clouds Over Atalaya

One of those days when I was in the office and I saw clouds everywhere. Suddenly I had an errand to run, wink wink.

Santa Fe Arcade

Now I know that the word arcade makes most think of video games or at least it does to me.
The Santa Fe Arcade is actually filled with various shops, a Mircobrewery and a cupcake shop whose frosting can make one swoon and beg for more. The umbrellas are on the patio of the Draft Station.
A nice place if your beer lover and a nice spot to listen to the music on the bandstand.

Clouds Over Galisteo Street

Our monsoon season has been an active one this year. Early in the day this is what the skies look like, by later afternoon early evening they turn gray and there's thunder in the distance. We needed the water and it's here.

Lucky I Guess

Let me start by say I do not have a green thumb. I do love a nice garden though. My partner was the gardner in our little family. I could not bare having no color around my house so I planted a memorial garden. I did miss one pot though and something started to come up so instead of pulling out like a weed I watered it and this is what I got. If anyone can tell me what it is I would appreciate knowing.
Other than that I am proud of my little experiment so I took this shot.

Oh and as for the rest of the garden, it looking pretty good. I guess I have an angel watching over it.

Ice Cream Anyone?

This is not the ice cream truck I was used to as a kid. Looks a little sketchy if you ask me.
I will have to inspect it tonight when I go back to the bandstand.

Last night my company sponsored the National Theatre Live broadcast of
"Man and Superman" starring Ralph Fiennes. If you get the chance to see it
I highly recommend it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Humming House!

My first visit to the bandstand this season was to see this group. Humming House from Nashville brought the party to Santa Fe. They were the perfect beginning for my summer music season.
I even bought one of their cds. Here is the song that sold me, click here.

I have another work event that I have to attend tonight. I will see you all tomorrow.

And There Was Dancing

Even though I was working at the bandstand last night I managed a few shots.
The music was wonderful, my work friends were there to support me and people had fun.
What more could I ask for?

Let The Music Play

The Santa Fe Bandstand series began last Wednesday. Last night I had to go check out the music by a group called Humming House and the sponsors. Needless to say I could not visit blogs last night or tonight for that matter. Tonight my company will be sponsoring the bandstand so I will be working late tonight. I'll be back on Thursday to visit your blogs.

Taos Cowboy

One of my favorite stores on the Taos plaza is Taos Cowboy. They carry western apparel and some really great Pendelton blankets.

The Rio Grande

We have been getting our fair share of rain the last few weeks and it shows in the vegetation.
While driving up to Taos I could not believe how green it was. Not normal for this time of year but we are happy for it.

Launch Point

On my way to Taos for the Pow Wow I stopped near on of the points where rafters lauch their rafts into the Rio Grande to ride a few of the rapids down river.

The Pow Wow was amazing and if you ever get the chance to attend one that is
outdoors I highly recommend it. It is some to be experienced.

At the Taos Pueblo Pow Wow you must agree to only use your photos for personal use, printing etc. No selling your photo, posting on social media, websites etc. Not to be a tease but I got some amazing shots.

Where I'll Be

Today I will be spending the day at the Taos Pueblo Pow Wow.
I love that they allow you to take photographs, unfortunately I can not post them out
respect for dancers. This is a view of the Taos mountains that are located on the pueblo.

Shot at a gallery in the Railyard.
Happy Friday everyone!

Carved Doors

It's not uncommon to find doors around town that have some sort of carving on them.
They symbols on the bottom of the door are the Native American symbols for the sun and rain.

Puffy Clouds

Nothing like puffy clouds to make an ordinary scene better. When I see skies like this I just want to call into work and shoot clouds luckily this was on a Friday evening.

The Blues.

A few weekends ago we had a music event at the Farmer's Market pavillion. The light shining through this blue drum caught my eye almost instantly.

Guadalupe Church at Sunset

There are two parts to this church. This is the older and in my opinion more attractive part.
The newer part behind it is were services are held. I did not take photos of that part.

Guadalupe at Sunset

Watching over Santa Fe, the city of faith. Enjoy your Sunday.

Light, Shadows and a Little More

This reflection, lights and shadows were all captured on the new Violet Crown theater.
I saw my first movie there yesterday. Love the big comfortable seats and the fact that I could reserve my seat the night before. What did I see your probably wondering, Terminator Genisys and yes I enjoyed it.

Evening Summer Sky

Lately we've had rainy evenings and puffy clouds floating around. I caught this one near the Railyard Park last Friday. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Yucca Bloom

I walk by this plant regularly and I have never noticed this beautiful bloom.
My photo did not do this justice. The colors are amazing.

Painted Pony Taos

I found this colorful horse under a portal near the Harwood Museum in Taos on my last visit.
He goes well with that paint cabinet.
