Canyon Road Paint Out III

This was one of my favorites. This small church that this artist is painting is located on a highway that leads south of Santa Fe. The little town that the church can be found is called Golden. It's consists of only a few homes and this church.

In the Distance

Yesterday I went out on a hike on one of my favorite trails. Mr. Weatherman said it would be sunny and 70 degrees. About 30 minutes into the hike I was be hit with rain and extremely cold sleet. Needless to say by the time I got back to my car I was pretty wet. Still I think this shot was worth it.

Fall Pumpkins

This is only a small sample of the pumpkins being sold at a local church. There were many sizes and shapes to choose from. Do you carve a pumpkin for Halloween or do you just have them around as Fall decor?

Cosmos and Adobe

One of the flowers that seems to be all over town in the Fall are Cosmos.
I think they are the perfect flower to compliment our adobe walls.

Autumn

“Autumn is the hardest season. The leaves are all falling, and they're falling like
they're falling in love with the ground.”

In Town Fall Colors

The other day while walking through the Railyard I saw these three trees. I guess the one on the right could not make up it's mind. Today when I walk by I am sure it will be yellow.

Fall Colors IX

Even the little Aspen trees have to get in on that action. Wishing you all a very happy Friday!

Fall Colors VIII

I am not sure what kind of tree this is but I love the red stems on the yellow leaves. Any tree experts out there?

Fall Colors VII

I think there is something healing about Autumn and the colors that it brings forth. Maybe it's just me. What do you think?

Fall Colors VI

I love the shadows that the light created on the golden leaves.

Fall Colors IV

Along Aspen Vista Trail. Someday's if your lucky you can have some time to yourself along the trail but most of the time it's pretty crowded.

Fall Colors III

I love the way these small Aspens curve as they grow from the side of the mountain. It looks like they are reaching for the western sky.

Fall Colors II

This was taken a few weekends ago up near the Aspen Vista trail. Wishing you all a very happy Friday.

Turkey Advertising

One of the local school advertising their annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run. This is always on Thanksgiving Day and can be quite challanging if it snows.

An 80's Kind of Pup.

I'm guessing that's what decade this outfit came from. Any other guesses?

Save the Bees!

Maybe not the original thought but I'd like to think that this was the idea behind the costume.

My Secret Place

Well, one of them. There are places up in the Sangre De Cristo mountains where I like to hike and just sit. This is one spot that I love to just take it all in and listen to the water. Heading up again this weekend to catch some of the Fall colors. Have a happy Friday everyone.

Playing a Tune

Walking past the Railyard recently I heard another person playing the piano outside of Warehouse 21. It was a Classical piece that I was not familiar with but very beautiful.

Theme Day: Movement

Theme Day is here again. This month's theme is Movement. I chose the Santa Fe river as my subject for this theme. It's not often that you see movement in our little river but this Summer's rains have kept a little bit of water moving though it. Someone built this carin close to where the river passes a small park in town.
