Spanish Market IV

This is Monica Sosaya Halford, another wonderful Retablo artist at this year's market. She also does Colcha, "Colcha is done in handspun, hand-dyed wool on a plain-woven wool ground cloth called sabanilla. Colcha is used for decorative wall pieces and altar cloths." Click on the photo for a better look.

Randy, since these decorations are all carefully hand made, are they expensive?

I'm fascinated by the fact that so much of this art is religious in nature. Colorful, too!

Such rich culture there at the Spanish market - unlike anything I have been exposed to in the places I have lived. Thx. for the education!
