I've always had trouble sorting out the genuine from the "Hollywood" when it comes to native American culture. I was surprised recently while touring the Anthropology Museum here in Cambridge UK to see an elaborate beaded buckskin suit which looked like something out of a movie but was obviously genuine. These paintings are very attractive and colourful - I really should find out more.

I'm glad to know here's a special event and they have the opportunity to shot their work.
Have a good weeek Randy. :)
Interesting painting with distinctive and quite modern background, this is a creative and talented guy!
So cool! I've seen some of his work before; I like it.
I enjoy his style of placing the main subject on a background of quilt or blanket like setting.
That is a very nice painting. I really enjoy some of the non-traditional art at these festivities.
very nice art.
I also love the big one. Great talent!
Love the colors, they are beautiful paintings!

He's chosen an interesting background for his painting Randy. My Monday is almost over and yes it certainly did zip by.
Nice bright colors!
Happy Monday to you too! I like this mix of native art and modern style. Neat!
I like that big one too!
I like that name Shiprock, NM.
The background has a futuristic matrix look to it in complete contrast to the person pictured. I really like that, but I like the strong head shot to the right also.
Yes, Monday fly by!
It's an interesting art!

Ohmygosh I am so far behind on my blog reading! I can see why you like this, Randy. It's beautiful. I love all the colors used here.
This is interesting, Randy. I always thought that Indian Market was restricted to traditional crafts. This artist certainly has built on the traditional art with a strongly contemporary flair.
Thanks

I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to Native American art -- but these are really quite beautiful. :)
Beautiful Randy!
His work is very colorful!
I'd love to visit this market, Randy!
Well it's Thursday now and I'm back and I love this art!
