SF Indian Market 3

Here is an sample of Acoma Pottery by Evelyn Ortiz. Acoma Pottery is on of my favorite styles of Native American pottery mostly for the designs painted on the clay. The artist does not have her own website but I have linked to a site that has a little more information on the pottery style. Click here.

This is my favorite pottery too. I love the simplistic colors paired with the intricate designs.

Very delicate colors. I am not familiar with Acoma's style but it seems it's close to the Navajo's one?

I'm sorry I missed a couple of your posts. What a fun event! My favorite items are the pottery - they are so beautiful! I like the baskets, too. Hard to imagine they would hold up well being made out of watercolor paper. :)

A good choice for a favorite style Randy. I have never been able to decide on a favorite style as I enjoy seeing the distinctive works from all the Pueblos.

Beautiful geometric designs on this pottery Randy, I had a look at the link, it's pretty pricey too!

This little owls (I think) are precious. The bird on the wedding vase is unique.

I have 2 large antique Acoma pieces and they are my most prized and loved possessions. I think the shapes are so wonderfully suited to the decorations.

That's interesting. I never knew the name of that.

Acoma itself is so spectacular that the pottery must also be very special.
