Indian Market 1

These beautiful baskets are the work of Shan Goshorn. Her booth was my first stop at Indian Market. She told me how her baskets we made. Would you believe they are made out of watercolor paper? I can not do her work justice so I am linking to her website so you can see her amazing works. Click here for more.

Not only are they woven using a strange material, an intricately woven story is contained in the material! Fascinating post this morning!

I like miniature items in any fashion. Small is BIG in my book.

Very interesting. But I would be loth to use them if they so fragile!

Wow, amazing to see traditional crafts done with non-traditional materials.

What a talent! It makes that old joke of having a Degree in Basket Weaving seem very wrong.
