Looking for the Great Pumpkin

I snapped this shot at a local church that is referred to as the Pumpkin Church because of the fund raiser they do every year.

Unlike Linus I will not be waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive, I will however wear my Halloween t-shirt to work. How about you, will you be dressing up for Halloween? Also I am curious if you have a favorite scary movie that you like to watch. What ever you do I hope that you have a Happy Halloween.

The only Halloween activity that I really participate in is the candy ~ and it must be chocolate!

That sure is a lot of pumpkins Randy, bet they raise a lot of money for charity. No I'm not dressing up, but Aimee made up for it big time!! Happy Halloween!!

Just a "witchy" scarf for opening the door tonight and no scary movie! But a lot of fun.
Happy Halloween!

Looks like the grounds of one of our local churches. When we passed it Saturday night there are still loads of pumpkins to be sold. I wonder what they do with those that are left. l Pumpkins soup, perhaps?

When teaching I always wore Halloween clothes (not costumes, tho), and when my kids were small I used to dress up to greet the kiddies. Now I'm just a boring adult in a pumpkin shirt handing out goodies. Perhaps next year we'll go all out again.

It must be so fun for the kids!
Happy Halloween! ;-)

I am going to spend my Halloween at the gym! And I will probably hand out candy to the kiddies. I always loved that Charlie Brown special though. If it's on TV, maybe I'll watch that too! :)

I am certainly glad that you found this place, 'cause for years I've wondered what church it is that the Great Pumpkin favors. And now I know!

I love the Peanuts special and like to watch it every year, but my favorite movie to watch on Halloween is "Arsenic and Old Lace". Such a classic.

oh, these are great questions. I won't be dressing up - it's been years since I've done that. it's become a tradition to, at the beginning of October, dust off and start watching my collection of scary movies - vintage Bela Lugosi: Dracula, Devil Bat, White Zombie, Human Monster, etc. I love Claude Rain's The Invisible Man, Boris Karloff in The Mummy and Frankenstein, Lon Chaney Jr. in The Wolf Man, and of course Creature from the Black Lagoon. guess that's a pretty long list there! it just can't be helped. you should take a photo of your Halloween t-shirt and post it! I hope you have a good one. happy day to you Randy. (and thank you very very much for your kind comments and encouragement. that means more to me than I have room here to write.)

Nothing like a sea of orange in the fall....did you find Charlie Brown?

I tend to stay away from Halloween...I end up sleeping with my light on all night if I don't. I DO like that Pumpkin Patch though!
Nice capture. Love orange:)

Those are some really nice pumpkins. Just waiting their turns before some talented Santa Fe artist turns them into a work of art.

G-Kids are doing all the dressing up. Always a Treat seeing them in their costumes!

I don't dress up - probably should though!

I think about the scariest movie I can handle is Young Frankenstein. LOL. Happy Halloween, Randy!

With 2 colleagues we had a bit of fun dressed up today at the office, but mostly there isn't much happening in France. But I do have my Jack o'lantern lit, probably the only one in the vicinity! And... and... and... made some pumpkin and ginger soup! :-)

Magnificent pumpkins! Nope, I'm not dressing up... I'm scary enough already :-)
Happy Halloween!

Hey Randy,
Hope you had a nice Halloween... I did not dress up... though I did wear Halloween socks to work AND baked a Halloween cake for my co-workers (though I ate about a third of it for breakfast when I got there!) No scary movies for me... they make for unpleasant dreams...
