The More You See

“You learn to see by practice. It's just like playing tennis, you get better the more you play. The more you look around at things, the more you see. The more you photograph, the more you realize what can be photographed and what can't be photographed. You just have to keep doing it.”
Eliot Porter

Beautiful golden leaves against a brilliant blue sky. I love the quote, thanks for the inspiration!

A very nice quote and very true!

These turned leaves presented against the blue skies are an excellent visual example. They also say to me 'Fall has Arrived', in a well composed photo.

Very wise words from Mr. Porter Randy, and you looked around and spotted something very lovely today, the gold leaves against the blue sly look wonderful. Well spotted.

Since I started my blog and started taking pictures, I found that I see way more than I ever did before and take lots of pictures. I figure with the digital cameras now...film is cheap ;)

I love Eliot Porter.

Sometimes I think I only see through a camera now, if you see what I mean!

Lovely colours.

Your request for more autumn in Versailles will be up tomorrow. No blue sky though and no sunshine anymore though.

I think that is very true! I need to practice more macros and more portraits and more landscapes and more street photography and more and more and more!

As a photographer, I think it is possible to see things not usually noticed, whether it is detail or b/w, or color, or reflections...

Mr. Porter is correct!

Truer words were never spoken. The great part is, it is the only real work I REALLY love. You are good at it.

Nice how you have captured this image and how it just happens to be complimentary colors too! (Blue and Orange!). Isn't nature amazing, how she knows to put things that look good together??? Nice eye, Randy!
