Leave a light On

This is the doorway to one of my favorite houses along my Canyon Road walk. While walking by one day I notice that someone forgot to turn off the outside light.
Speaking of Canyon Road today artist will be painting outdoors and galleries will be hosting kids from the Santa Fe area schools and they will be performing at various galleries. Should make for some interesting photographs. Happy Saturday!

For some reason that little place is calling my name. I LOVE this capture Randy! It's one of my favorite of yours so far!

This kind of photos are my favourite! I like the adobe style, the way they make the color contrast. This one is a very nice example.

This image is just soooo Santa Fe Randy!! It's exactly how I imagine a doorway to look there. Hope you get some great shots of the artists at work and the children.

Love the terra cotta color of the stucco. If I had a stucco house I'd want it to be this shade.

P.S. Randy, I can't believe you've never seen a Brahma bull. Very popular breed in Texas and also a regular at rodeos for bull-riding since they're known to be VERY mean!

I like this a lot; and the light being on gives the picture a little more ooomph! :-) The door is aged and beat up but what character it has!

Hope you have a nice weekend.

Very cool old door. I do love those thick Adobe walls.
Randy, I am so bummed to hear about the house... I only hope it means that something even better is planned for you. (That's what I try to tell myself when things don't go right....) I can imagine what a let down that was for you guys. Perhaps prices will continue to drop as winter approaches & the perfect-for- you place will come along. Glad you made it through mid terms, because breathing is good!!! I am headed up to La Madera today for our final pit fire & then work on Sunday. It looks to be a beautiful day~ hope you have a great one!

Didn't you know that is my 2nd house Randy? I WISH!

I love the adobe/santa fe style homes--I think it's about as rustic as you can get.

awesome capture! They can leave the light on for me ANYTIME.

The orange of that light works well with the warm southern tones, Randy! So I guess there really never is any great loss (of electricity in this case) without some small gain. :D

A classic and charming scene.

Love the muted burnt sienna house color and the subtle burst of golden light of the forgotten porch light...
