Caught this little speeder while in Albuquerque this past weekend. I love the little flames on the side. I would love to have one for the summer months.
I didn't know you had "Smart" cars in the states. They#re popular in Europe given the high petrol prices and small roads and parking issues in cities. But I've never seen a hot rod one before! Well spotted (and shot)!
These cars are pretty cool. We first saw one in Paris several years ago. They don't work too well in Ocala, though, what with all the old, crazy drivers like me and the big pickups!
Sorry to hear about your Walmart...soon more small businesses will go under...
If I had one like this, I wouldn't confine it to the summer months, it would be operating all year long, rain or snow! Wonder what kind of traction it has?
They're very practical if you live in a big city. But no so comfortable for long-distance driving. My MiL in Berlin has one and we take it out alot when we visit. Much easier to find parking!
We see them occasionally here in No. Calif. but not as often as you would think. First, they need to make them more affordable. And with everything so far away here it seems like you would really get a lot of use out of one. I just really wouldn't want to be on the highway with one. Well, maybe for a short trip but not a long distance. I find it amazing that with all that this country has, there are poorer countries that have better mass transit systems in place. Albuquerque doesn't even have much more than the train does it? But at least you can get from the outskirts of town to Santa Fe and thereabouts though, right? We have a straight shot down Hwy 80 to Sacramento but you have to drive all the way to Sac in order to take advantage of their rapid transit. There is a commuter train but it only leaves Auburn once a day and returns once a day. Not all that convenient.
I love these little cars. I remember the first one I ever saw when I was in London. I actually went in to a dealership there so I could get a better look. Love the humor of painting those flames on that car.
that is cute with the flames on the side! i couldn't feel safe in that little thing though, especially here, there are so many of those big 18 wheelers on the road here, yikes!
Hi Randy, catching up a bit on your posts. i have been seeing more of these lately. saw a brightly painted flowerly one on Rodeo the other day. hope you are well! are you starting class next week?

un vrai petit dragster ;))
Cute, yes, but I'm not sure I'd feel very safe in one of these little minis.
Nice little Smart. I have a Smart roadster, they stopped making them so I guess you will most likely never see one in the US.
We first saw the Smart cars in Paris a few years ago. I like 'em...but not in Ocala which is dominated by crazy old people like me and huge pickups!
Sorry to hear about your Walmart...more little businesses will soon expire and then you'll have nothing to buy except crap made in China! :-)
...well, only if it is convertible, Randy! You could fly down those long, straight highways with the top down, smiling under the blazing sun!

It's a cute car! I saw the first one in Canada. Now there are in my town, in Romania, too.
Nice livery, I wonder how commen are these cars over there...

It's very cute Randy, but maybe a little too small!!
The flame on the side is awesome. Fun sense of humor. Wonderful find Randy!
Where are the pedals?
Best car to drive (and park) in cities.
easy peasy parking! :)

There are quite a few of these in Portland. I don't know about driving something so small, though. I think I'd stay off the interstates for sure.

I have to be honest, these cars are so small they frighten me! I call them bowling balls. Even my small 4 door sedan seems rather confined!

I followed one down the highway while in my VW Golf. I felt like I was in a big SUV compared to it.
These are great. We see a lot of them around DC.
I love fire theme or flame theme too... it's the theme of my blog...
Oh! You took a photo of my car!;)
Ha! I wish:)
Sweet little buggy that is!
Love the license plate and the flames!
I like the cool flames! There are many Smart cars in Sao Paulo, but people here do prefer bigger cars.
I love that car!
Cute license plate!
So these "shoppers" to run a lot of laps here. People laugh, but it handy to the city car. The long journey but I did not go. Hello! Peter
What a funny shot. They say that dogs and cars express the personality of the owner.
Perfect with that number plate.
I like these little cars too.
Adorable! How cute are those little flames of speed on the side! zoom-zoom!

I saw a photo of one of these in an accident once and it was pretty bad to say the least.
The self-deprecating flames are funny . . .
gotta love the flames!
I don't want to be rude, but putting flames on this car is like putting flames on a snail. Such an optimistic viewpoint though. :)
lovely little car easy to park !
have a nice day Randy
really nice, like it to me, parking is facilitated by its measures !!!!!!
Nice catch! I love this one.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Fun, "fast", foto find! Hope you are enjoying the weekend in your RED shoes, Dandy Randy!
Haha, the "go faster" flames surely contravene trade description regulations!
