Walking on Alameda

Yesterday our blue skies where covered by the smoke from the large fire in Arizona. I was almost afraid I wouldn't get my walk in. Luckily the winds came in and cleared the air in the early evening. I caught this while walking along the Santa Fe river on Alameda street. Have a peaceful Sunday!

Very nice! Does water run down there sometimes?

This is a gorgeous scene! I was wondering about the smoke - just read of the awful fires in AZ.

We have brush/forest fires going all across central Florida -- and it's been smoky on and off for several weeks. Sometimes it's hard to breathe!

Thanks, Randy, for your kind words. They are much appreciated!

It's a beautiful little footbridge. Why don't you add it to Louis' San Francisco's Sunday bridge meme?

That looks like a pretty cool area to go for a walk or run in. By the look of the trees growing in the stream bed, water must not come along very often.

I've heard from family in Alb about that smoke from Arizona, guess it has been bad at times over the last several days. I would love to trade shoes with you and walk Alameda oppose to the humid conditions here in KC.

Santa Fe sure looks like a pretty place for a long walk.

Would love to stroll across this bridge.
About a week or so ago, we woke up to smoke all over the Valley too. Turns out it was from a fire in Canada!

Wow, I can't believe the effects of the fire have drifted all the way over to you. It's a bad one. Today they said it's the 3rd worst fire in state history.

So lush looking! New Mexico always has surprises for us.

Cute bridge! Is this really a river bed with all those trees growing on it?

Being a mountain biker at heart, I'm getting a sense that Santa Fe woud have some pretty nice mountain bike trails?

When I was in Santa Fe, that creek was also without water. As VP, I also wonder if it really has water sometime?

We have seen here at TV the fire in Arizona. May be, if rain comes, it will be better.

that's the kind of picture that makes you want to just hop right into it and explore around.
