This weekend was not a good one. My little sidekick became quite ill and I had to have her put to sleep. To say that my heart is broken is an understatement. It was love at first sight when we met, she rode home on my lap when I adopted her and when she left this earth she was exactly where she should have been, on my lap. Life will not be the same without her.

Quite sad indeed. I am so sorry. Such companions are never never forgotten.
Sorry to hear about your kitty, we have two now that follow me around and watch me work. I get attached to them though they seem to be real independent and appear to tolerate my presence in their territory. They are so funny, maybe there is another homeless kitty out there that needs help though they would never admit it.

Oh my gosh Randy, my sincerest deepest condolences. The bond we share with our pets is a special thing. You gave her a happy and loving life, and that's a beautiful thing.

Losing a member of the family is very tough and a very sad loss. I'm sorry, Randy!
This is so sad. It's very hard to lose a pet. We lost our beloved Golden Retriever a couple of years ago and still feel the pain. Our daughter lost her Golden a couple of weeks ago.
It's never easy. Perhaps you can adopt another little sweetie?

Oh, Randy! If only they could live 40 years or be like parrots and live hundreds. I lost my lovely Airedale 4 years ago and can still cry a bit over it. Your little monkey looked like a beautiful girl and I'm sure you have many wonderful memories.
Randy I am firmly convinced that when our time here is done we will all be together again in a better place. Each time I loose one of my four legged friends even though I'm sad I cling to this hope.

Yes, I understand that she was a very good and special friend. I have had a cat and 3 dogs, so I understand that it must be not only strange but sad now.

Had to have one of my cats put to sleep last April because of bobcat fever. Still have her brother, but we both miss her. So sorry.

I'm sorry for your kittie, Randy! I understand what you feel because I had to put to sleep two of our dogs, and 2 years ago our 4 month old doggie was killed on the spot by a car whose driver didn't even stop!

I am sorry that you lost such a friend in the form of a cat.
I experienced a similar situation 4 years ago. The cat became ill and died at the clinic for animals. She was always on my lap when she was not feeling well. Certainly it is in the feline heaven.
Now we have a new cat. British cat. It is a member of the household.
Understands everything.
