You would have thought yesterday was the first day of Spring. The plaza was full of people including this artist who was taking advantage of the beautiful day full of sunshine.
I've always wanted to paint en plein air like this, but the thought of people watching me work is annoying. I don't know how he does it, it would really cramp my style!
It is a lot different outside as it is so much more light than in the studio and I tend to paint things too dark. Just takes practice or sometimes I use a painter's umbrella if I am out in a field.

nice capture! it was like that here too!
Love the shot and the colors. Kinda like what he's painting, too. The spring weather must have given him just the right impetus!
You can feel and see spring in the air!!
I love watching artists paint in public . . . a sure sign that winter's coming to an end. (It's suddenly nice here, too.)
how awesome! i love your shot of him in red painting a lady in red.
A lot of red on him and on his canvas!
A wonderful place for plain air painting!
I thought the same thing of this last weekend. What a fantastic weekend it was.
There was a lady posing there or he's just making this up?
I enjoy your pictures of the artists at work so much. So much to see in this picture.
it is like that here today but we are i for snow tomorrow!
I thought it was spring over your way Randy? super shot of the artist and his work..
Love it! We had a taste of spring here as well.
It really does feel like spring there! Such gorgeous warmth!
It looks so sunny and inviting. Nice to see this artist out and about.
Wonderful, Randy! Excellent photo for the beginning of the spring season.
When the sun comes out, folks come out to enjoy it. Happens here, too. I love your photo!
How nice of the guy to share his talent with the Plaza visitors. Bright sunshine deserved bold colors on his canvas.
