Looking for the Great Pumpkin

I snapped this shot at a local church that is referred to as the Pumpkin Church because of the fund raiser they do every year.

Unlike Linus I will not be waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive, I will however wear my Halloween t-shirt to work. How about you, will you be dressing up for Halloween? Also I am curious if you have a favorite scary movie that you like to watch. What ever you do I hope that you have a Happy Halloween.

Inspiration

Shades of Fall

I lovye the colors of Fall are my favorite unfortunately the came quick and are leaving just as fast. It rained most of yesterday and we might see more today. Glad I caught this when I did.

Painting Landscapes

Here is another one of the artist who was painting in front of the Sugarman gallery during the Paint Out. She captured the New Mexico sky perfectly and she caught my attention with that Turquoise bracelet she was wearing.

Some Mornings

Do you have those mornings when you feel wiped out? I spotted this little guy around the corner from Sunday's post. Looks like me on most Tuesdays after a long day of work and another class that I am taking.

A New Home

Shadows

I love this statue that stands in front of the Manitou Gallery on Canyon Road. With the Fall colors and the shadows on the wall I found it to be very peaceful. Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday.

Fall on Canyon Road

As I turned away from yesterdays artist I caught sight of this lovely tree, blue sky and a touch of Turquoise. If you click on the photo you will see the leaves reflected in the window too. Happy Saturday everyone!

Model Patience

Out of all the artist who participated in the Canyon Road Paint Out this is the only one who had a live model. They were across the street from yesterday's artist at the Greenberg Fine Art gallery. This guy was a true sport. It was a little warm being out in the sun.

Holy Cow!

Well not really, it's just a plain white cow that one of the artist was working on during the Canyon Road Paint out. Would you have this in your home? I sure would.

Let's Dance!

And now for some fun! After the rally I headed off to Canyon Road for the Canyon Road Paint Out. It was a fundraiser to raise funds for the Santa Fe Schools Music programs. I wish you could have all been there with me it was a feast for the eyes. This sculpture was at one of the galleries and I think it is called Elephant Dance but don't quote me on it.

Help!

She flew in from New York just for our Occupy Santa Fe rally. This person sure got their point across and drew a lot of attention.

Telling it like it is!

There were many expressive signs at the Occupy Santa Fe rally on Saturday. And even a few "V" masks. I have not seen the movie "V" for Vendetta but now I am intrigued and will have to make it a point to rent it soon. It's Monday, time to hit the ground running until the end of the week.

Angry Dog

Well not really, she was a sweetheart. Before the event on Canyon Road began there was a march to the state capital by the Occupy Santa supporters. This little lovely was showing her support for the humans. She had so much love to share she should would have fit in better at a peace rally. Aren't dogs wonderful!

Leave a light On

This is the doorway to one of my favorite houses along my Canyon Road walk. While walking by one day I notice that someone forgot to turn off the outside light.
Speaking of Canyon Road today artist will be painting outdoors and galleries will be hosting kids from the Santa Fe area schools and they will be performing at various galleries. Should make for some interesting photographs. Happy Saturday!

This one kind of speaks for itself. I like the lines of the shirt echoed only by the line on the wall in front of the this gentleman.

Our Fall leaves have fallen due to the recent snow on the mountains. In a tribute to our short Fall color I decided to post one more shot from our hike.

Here is a shot of the larger crowd on the other side of the street from yesterdays post. People are now starting to spend the night in tents and returning to protest the next day.

I was on my way out of town this Saturday when I came across this Wall Street/Bank of America protest. These are only a few of the people there. The bigger crowd was across the street and I will post that one tomorrow. Apparently these were organized all over the country.

Surprise, it's Snow!

Friday it rained most of the day and night. When we woke up there was a surprise waiting on the mountains, SNOW! Not only had it snow but it was extremely cold most of the day. Where did Fall go? For that matter where are my Winter clothes? It will probably be gone by late Sunday. Good thing I caught those Fall shots before this happened.

On Your Right!

For those who don't want to walk up and down the trail there is always a faster way. I think it's funny that some people can't hear a bike getting close and to see their faces when they hear "On Your Right!"

Splash of Green.

As you come around a bend on the Aspen Vista trail this is what you will see. This time of year it always looks like the pine trees are pushing their way out from the bottom.

Beyond the Yellow

I really like seeing the blue sky beyond the golden yellow of the Aspens especially as the leave flutter in the wind. It's very mesmerizing and can really makes one forget about their troubles.

Day #4 still no internet. I miss seeing everyone's photos.

Mellow Yellow

Fall is my favorite season for hiking. I love looking at the Aspens sway in the wind. Good thing I captured this when I did. Yesterday we had a hard rain for most of the afternoon that probably peeled alot of these leaves from the trees.

Day #3 and still no internet connection so I had to run to a Starbucks to post this. Have a great day everyone.

Aspen Vista

Fall has come to the mountains! Here at Aspen Vista you will find a lot of visitors and hikers taking in this beautiful view and hiking the trails on these beautiful mountains.

Just wanted to let you all know that my internet service is down. I had to get sneaky with this post on my way to work this morning. I won't be around until I can get this fix and with our service provider who knows when that will be. See you when I get back up and running again.

Watching the World Go By.

Well not really, this guy was watching people dance at the festival you can see a partial reflection in his glasses. It's Monday, so most of us can't sit and watch the world go by or dance. So what's say we just make the best of it. Have a great Monday everyone.

Performance part II

For those of you who guessed that the signs from yesterdays post were part of a performance art piece you were right. This artist took each individual sign and started building a room. For what you might ask, I don't know. I had moved on when I heard the music start. Wishing you all a great Sunday!
