Old and Older

I love the old gate on this building and by the look of the adobe at the corner of the wall the building must be alot older.

Great shot. Your perfect Santa Fe style. I like this so much.

Randy, I never expected that my last post would be your favorite. O.K. it got the most comments so far.

And I even love the look of the window, if it's a window. Just super! Happy Saturday!

Quite a difference indeed. I always like your adobe photos, they look so different from any other building.

It is a nice glimpse of a rustic building.

Looks like the windows are boarded up, too. Wouldn't it be great to know the history of the building and the people who had lived there?

Wonderful old gate, the many beauties of Santa Fe lie in those old adobes and gates.

I love the old wooden doors...

The rustic doors do look really cool. I am interested in the window shutters. That is a window, no? Is the place boarded up while the owners are away? Those stick and branch shutters are one of a kind.

It does have that worn, weathered look about it - both the door and the building...I like, a lot!

wow great blue sky and contrast!

This one is tack sharp and those adobe colors really do contrast nicely with the blue sky. The aged and the gate are excellent pieces of the composition too.

Perfect composition, so nicely balanced. These old adobe doors and windows are fabulous.

I'm torn...I like the age of this gate, but it's just screaming for some of that beautiful Santa Fe blue paint. Preservation is a good thing too.

It's hard to imagine this ever having been new, but it's more beautiful this way.
