Christmas Eve Walk

Each year for Christmas Eve people walk along Canyon Road singing carols and enjoying hot cider and bonfires. The street is also lined with Faralitos or luminarias. Some galleries and shops are open for people to stop in and get warm and enjoy their art. This is the window at Curiosa a lovely little shop filled with great gifts, jewelry and home decor items. Whatever you do today I hope that you day is filled with joy and the wonders of the holiday.

I love the green and red against the white shutters! I was just thinking yesterday about how it would be nice to live in Santa Fe! (yes, I have a vivid and sometimes unrealistic imagination!) But the atmosphere looks so relaxed where you live, and I could use a bit of zen. ;) Merry Christmas Eve, Randy!

A bit more chaotic here, but that's the mood of these days before the Holidays...

That sounds like a wonderful tradition. I would think all the shops would want to be open for the carolers...but I guess family comes first (rightly so!)...

Have a wonderful holiday!

Canyon Road would be a wonderful place to be in the Christmas season, with the decor, the art, the good will.

Best to you and yours this Christmas.

I missed the snow on Canyon Rd this year, but it was still a lovely walk! The woman that owns this shop was in a clay class w/ me a couple of years ago. Very cute shop! Merry Christmas Eve!

I am certain that I would enjoy going inside that shop. But even more lovely is the walk and the singing. Nobody does that in Norwich.

How are you enjoying this festive season?

Many thanks for your patience, and for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!
