Mid-Week Rest Stop.

Benches are a big in Southwest design. You can find them indoors as well as out and usually in bright colors. I found this unpainted one but with a wonderful Native American rug adding that splash of color.

I have two blankets like this one from my trips to Mexico as a girl. I hauled them all the way to Europe and have never regretted doing it. They are a treasure!

That rug was a nice touch!

Ah, much nicer than some of the rest areas I've been to.

Love it! I'd sit there in a minute. And if it was cold you could just wrap that rug around you!

Re Olive Garden: We like ours a lot. And this most recent trip it appeared it's under new management which takes the customers seriously...everything was wonderful. Can't imagine a waiter singing at you at Olive Garden.

We've a Mason Jar restaurant here - went there once and some old guy with an accordion played and sang so loudly it hurt your ears! It was terrible! We've not been back!

The rug is the perfect touch for that bench!

The rug really dresses up the plain bench.

Great colors and I like the structure from the blanket.

I need a mid-week rest stop!

Randy, thanks for your comment!

I love how they take a simple bench and make it unique (to the area) and beautiful by adding a nice rug. My mother went to UNM and still has a few Native American rugs left from her college years. They were affordable and incredibly well made.

Native American arts and crafts are unparalleled in design and colour. I just put my wool Pendleton "Spirit Quest" on my bed as the evening are getting colder!!
