The other day while walking through the Railyard I saw these three trees. I guess the one on the right could not make up it's mind. Today when I walk by I am sure it will be yellow.

Turkey Advertising

One of the local school advertising their annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run. This is always on Thanksgiving Day and can be quite challanging if it snows.

My Secret Place

Well, one of them. There are places up in the Sangre De Cristo mountains where I like to hike and just sit. This is one spot that I love to just take it all in and listen to the water. Heading up again this weekend to catch some of the Fall colors. Have a happy Friday everyone.

Playing a Tune

Walking past the Railyard recently I heard another person playing the piano outside of Warehouse 21. It was a Classical piece that I was not familiar with but very beautiful.

Theme Day: Movement

Theme Day is here again. This month's theme is Movement. I chose the Santa Fe river as my subject for this theme. It's not often that you see movement in our little river but this Summer's rains have kept a little bit of water moving though it. Someone built this carin close to where the river passes a small park in town.

Found near the Railyard gardens. I love the yellow ones but there is something beautiful about these.

Just a Little

The weather service projected that we would have rain all day starting with thunderstorms at 9am. It came finally in the afternoon but without the thunder or the amount of rain we hoped for. I guess a little is better than none at all.

Colorful

Incoming

Monday was cloud hovered the city with the threat of rain. It came but not until late in the evening and boy did it come. This is the back of the Lewallen gallery on the Railyard.

Market Interpretive Dance

I caught these ladies outside of the Farmer's Market building a few weekends back. They and a few others inside of the building were dancing to advertise a performance the following weekend.

Almost Black

While at the Farmer's Market this weekend I saw these string beans that almost appeared black. Have you ever tried them before? I might just have to pick some up next weekend.

Roasting Chile

One of my favorite things is driving around town and breathing in the aroma of Green Chile being roasted. The Farmer's market is one spot where you can really get whiff. I live close to the market so on Saturdays if the wind is blowing just right I can smell it as I walk out my door.

Adobe Glow

The other evening when I had to attend an evening event for work I was walking downtown and caught the evening light. I thought it made for a nice glow on the old adobe wall of the Palace of the Governors.

Nice Ride

This bike was so clean it appeared as if no one rode it. After a while a couple rode off on these two bikes. Check out that seat.

Something a little colorful for a patio or garden. I have another work event that I have to go to this evening. I will see you all on Wednesday.

It must be the hair color of the month. I've seen a few more around town after taking this shot.

Hollyhocks

On Labor Day Weekend we have an Art's and Crafts show on the plaza. I love the Kachina paintings in the background but I was drawn more to the hollyhock painting. Talk about a nice splash of color for your home.

Indian Market - Finale

 This is my favorite of all of my Indian Market photos. I watched these two for awhile as they chatted and it was almost as if they thought my camera was a recording device. As I aimed my camera the conversation became secretive.

At Indian Market there is more than pottery, jewelry and art. There is also some wonderful entertainment like Tony Duncan. A Native American flute player and hoop dancer. I wish I had captured a better shot of his vest.

Theme Day - Rust and Ruins

Theme Day here on City Daily Photo, this months theme is Rust and Ruins. This was taken on an old gate in my neighborhood. So many gates are painted and few are left natural as they age.
