One of my favorite things is driving around town and breathing in the aroma of Green Chile being roasted. The Farmer's market is one spot where you can really get whiff. I live close to the market so on Saturdays if the wind is blowing just right I can smell it as I walk out my door.

I agree, it does smell wonderful!
I know that wonderful smell.
I love it too.
And it's a wonderful, delicious smell too!
I really like the way they are presented and displayed.

Do me a favor, Randy. Visit Matt Romero's roasting "cage", buy some roasted green chiles, whip up a good recipe, eat the dish, smile and think of me!!
i bet that's very inviting!
Hot!
A good smell to wake up in the morning to.
Roasting green chili? I don't think I know how that smells.
Oh yes, that is a smell I love too. I haven't seen any roasting going on around here lately. A few years ago, a friend and I drove all the way to Flagstaff to get some freshly roasted Hatch chilies. I had chilies in everything I cooked for quite a few weeks.
Sounds like some of the festivals here only they have sausage and onions roasting with the peppers.
Agree with the others Randy, delicious smell, how lucky you are to be so close!
You are lucky to have that aroma in the air. Now I'm hungry for some.
I am absolutely sure I would like it!
Farmers market are such a treat for those who live near by!
I can just imagine the smell!
That would be a new smell for me, Randy! We have the aroma of tomatoes being done outside by our large Italian population so I know that one well.
Smells are so important - oh, and I can imagine this particular one.
I really like the big enamel bowls on the right table...
I love green chiles. I would be in heaven.
Can't say as I've ever smelled roasting chilies, but then I live in Canada... Guess I need to get out more. Ha ha!
Hmmm. That sounds like an experience I would enjoy.
