autumn always makes me melancholy as i miss 'home' (wisconsin). and i think it sets us all back on our heels, a bit, realizing how quickly time escapes us.
I agree. I wonder what makes me feel that way. I sometimes wonder if it's pleasant memories of growing up in Illinois. I remember one particular fall day when a friend and I walked all over the city enjoying the crisp air and the beautiful fall colors.

I love your autumn outdoor studies.
Very warm, very healing. I agree.
Quite a contrast here... hard rocks, thin, colorful 'flags' blowing.
Totally agree with you.
The colors were there all along, the green had to go away to reveal them.
I absolutely agree with you. I love autumnal colors, exactly like the ones you are posting these days!
Lovely light and colours, Randy!
I just love the colors that fall brings with itself.

That is a 'glass half full' way of looking at it.

I think you are right. I love the sights and smells of the fall season.
I find it a refreshing season. A lovely capture!
They are warm and friendly colours, Randy!
I hope it is healing for you. I love the warmth... Leaves are still mostly green here!
it's just magic, colors are just beautiful and every fall is like the first time ! ciao
I like early autumn, but as it progresses and there are fewer and fewer leaves on the trees, the barrenness gets to me.
Healing? Perhaps... Fall colors are definitely pleasing to the eye though!
Nice composition on this colorful capture!
