Another theme day has arrived. This month's theme is "Landmarks." We have quite a few here in the "City Different" and I chose the La Fonda Hotel. It opened in 1922 and in 1925, the hotel was purchased by the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad and operated as one of the famed Harvey Houses. This historic landmark is a beautiful example of Pueblo-style architecture and features thick wood beams, latilla ceilings and carved corbels. Special touches such as hand-crafted chandeliers, tin and copper lighting fixtures, and colorful tiles add character and charm.

Great landmark building for the theme day.
That a lovely style of architecture, and a real landmark of architecture for that region. Fits the CDT perfectly.

I love this hotel.
I hope that fantastic French bakery is still there.
You chose a perfect, historical icon for Santa Fe!
A very interesting building, perfect in its stile, really eye-catching and unusual!
I would love to visit each one of the Harvey Houses... We visited a couple ones already. Quite a style here!
I did not know that the hotel was operated as a Harvey House at one time. My grandfather worked for the Santa Fe railroad at one time. I wonder if he ever stayed here.
To me this, indeed, shows your city.
wow! gorgeous building!
Love this style and very nicely captured.
Perfect choice and perfect picture!
A good choice, Randy. The architectural style is very fitting for the southwest, and the place is beautiful.
Really a terrific example of the architectural style. Thanks for sharing.
I can't wait to see it in person!
And it is a gorgeous landmark, Randy!
Wow, I've never seen that large of building in that style of architecture before!

Looks like a great place Randy.
Looks fantastic Randy, and by the sound of it as beautiful inside as out. Excellent choice for the theme.
