What a great, funny post. I remember the time I met Wilt Chamberlain in Boca Raton, Florida...he had a restaurant there. I've never seen anyone so tall. I stood looking way up in amazement - like a human mountain. He was not wilted in anyway, like your poor flower!
Well done. A classmate of mine is a professional photographer and I regularly see wilted flowers from him. You and he are the only photographers I have seen who have chosen this subject.

Interesting flower, can't say I've ever seen this one before though it must be related to the Sunflower family by the looks of it.
This photograph would be a great subject for a painting.
