And The Work Continues.

This was the old hospital here in the downtown area. It is now being converted in a hotel. So I ask you, do you think the place will be haunted from the people who have passed away when it was a hospital? I guess what future guest won't know won't bug them.

These are the things that keep me up at night! Remind me not to stay there the next time I visit Sta Fe. Haha

I was given a room in a hotel once which I later learned was supposed to be haunted. I refused to pay the single room supplement!

i don't think it would bother me. i mean, we visit hospitals all the time without a thought to people dying inside. maybe this will be a future ghost hunters episode though!

I wonder why the location was closed because a downtown hospital would be far more convenient than going out to St. Victims, er I mean St. Vincents.
Is the the construction that is going on near the Cathedral?

Sounds like this would make the good plot for a future scary movie :)

As you say, if you don't know it will not matter.

Interesting that it will be converted into a hotel. I think Luis is right.

An interesting question. I don't think I'd like to find out.

There are no ghosts, so no problem. Haunting is in the mind. :)

It will be interesting to see how they make it look like a hotel instead of what it really looks like, which is a hospital. At least they are not going to demolish it and build something new.

Oh for sure. There will be ghosts walking the halls with the back of their hospital gowns open.

Ah! The sounds that go bump in the night!

certainly sounds like a made-for-tv movie!

This is quite worrying...

It wouldn't bother me - think of all the babies that were born there and all the people whose lives were saved there. I'm sure the good vibes cancel out the bad, Randy!

Hmmm, in that case a great many homes are haunted...

If they do a good enough job of restoring this then I think this could be quite nice actually.

In my old home town, a former mental hospital has been converted into condominiums. I would rather stay at a Santa Fe hotel converted from a hospital . . .

Randy, I am just glad that they are finding a new use for the building. Please show us a shot when they finish.

It's good to see them repurposing a solid old building like this.

I think not, Randy ... there were also many births and good things ;)

I cannot count how many times we skateboarded around this property.
