Warmth Beyond The Gate.

As I have said before I just love the look of adobe in the snow. I think the old gate adds to the overall beauty of the shot.

A funny mix, adobe and snow. In my city we have big adobe walls but the weather is warm always.

I agree about the gate. I wonder about the structure behind it...a house? Hope it's in good condition,

Ok, finally it's sinking in. Santa Fe also has snow. I guess I'm a little slow. But then, everywhere seems to have lots of snow these days!

This shot took me straight back to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile, a small village with lots of small houses like that in adobe. I remember eating my birthday dinner in one of those houses, a restaurant called (no surprise) "Adobe." Thank you for many nice comments on my blog, and if you check out my post today, you'll see something you wished for :)

I've wandered over your way and like what I see. Your photos are wonderful. I also like the snow against the adobe...like the snow on a cactus. Such a contrast. I'll be back for more.

I like this weathered gate too. You think it might deserve a closeup?

A very good title for a great picture. I wonder how the snow is almost perfectly mirroring the height of the wall.

For me it is quite stricking to see Santa Fe under the snow. Love it!

i love the softness of the adobe which seems to be enhanced by the snow border on the top. Nice one!

It sure does look intriguing. The textures of the door are really interesting as it seems rough and beaten, compared to the adobe.

Great shot!

P.S.: Did you get the snow I sent you? =)

Very nice, Randy. Adobe looks good in the desert and I think the snow adds a surprising and fun contrast.

Nice shot!

We don't see adobe around here, I had to look it up to learn more about it. Great shot:-)
