This shot took me straight back to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile, a small village with lots of small houses like that in adobe. I remember eating my birthday dinner in one of those houses, a restaurant called (no surprise) "Adobe." Thank you for many nice comments on my blog, and if you check out my post today, you'll see something you wished for :)
I've wandered over your way and like what I see. Your photos are wonderful. I also like the snow against the adobe...like the snow on a cactus. Such a contrast. I'll be back for more.

cette porte laisse passer le froid, on voit des trous ;)
I agree Randy..but also the weeds on the right..add a little touch! ;)
Anyway i like it!
Have a happy thursday:)
Those adobe buildings, so characteristic for Santa Fe, are very nice!
oh yes, this old blue door is
really amazing ! blue and white
are so beautiful together !
have a nice day dear Randy
Great composition! The wall is nice color with snow.
A funny mix, adobe and snow. In my city we have big adobe walls but the weather is warm always.

I agree about the gate. I wonder about the structure behind it...a house? Hope it's in good condition,
Ok, finally it's sinking in. Santa Fe also has snow. I guess I'm a little slow. But then, everywhere seems to have lots of snow these days!

A very serene picture....with all kinds of possibilites behind that gate.
I agree with you, they are beautiful with the white contour. ;-)
Have a nice day!
I agree. Lovely shot.
Randy, it truly looks nice and cold!

I like this weathered gate too. You think it might deserve a closeup?
A very good title for a great picture. I wonder how the snow is almost perfectly mirroring the height of the wall.
For me it is quite stricking to see Santa Fe under the snow. Love it!
Oh yes, this is beautiful!
i love the softness of the adobe which seems to be enhanced by the snow border on the top. Nice one!
It sure does look intriguing. The textures of the door are really interesting as it seems rough and beaten, compared to the adobe.
Great shot!
P.S.: Did you get the snow I sent you? =)
Very nice, Randy. Adobe looks good in the desert and I think the snow adds a surprising and fun contrast.
Nice shot!
Fantastic mood, the warm coloured wall and the snow around...great shot Randy!
Una puerta interesante que rompe el ritmo del muro!!!
If I didn't know better now, I'd say this was sand!
I don't think of adobe buildings being in the snow. but of course, they are. Nice.
Great title and framing of the shot.
Best wishes
Wong
I love the door the best!
It's full of character.
I like the snow and adobe combo as well. Such a nice scene!
I agree. Beautiful architecture.
We don't see adobe around here, I had to look it up to learn more about it. Great shot:-)
Lovely color. What a welcoming entrance!
You are correct, adobe and snow are a beautiful combination.
As I've said before it's a great combination.
